I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about the players left at this point, so I say fill positional needs (center) with the best left. Then take Daws at 55 or 63.
-
Turris being bought out. Wouldn't mind giving him a cheap one year deal.
-
Desperation levels to dump cap will increase a lot when the likes of Pietrangelo hit the open market.
-
Truth. Save the goalie for #63.
-
Hoping we can get Daws with the first pick in the third round
-
Helm and Glenny will do us well come trade deadline.
-
Helm is trade deadline bait! Despite what many here think, he has value for contenders.
-
The owners agreed on all of it. Ask them.

Australia literally missed an entire flu season because of Covid mask wearing

Most players Tampa want to move have value. Some have high value. Teams getting these players won't be doing it to help Tampa. They'll be doing it to make their team better. That doesn't cost Tampa assets.

Every team does have equal opportunity to spend to the cap. The owners all agreed to this cap to begin with. There are plenty of owners who could spend to the cap, but simply do not. There are also plenty of small market teams that have already proven you can spend to the cap and have success. Larger markets shoudn't have to pay for other owner's incompetence. Arizona's ownership knew about the cap before they bought in. They could have easy deemed they are unable to compete and backed out. Plenty of other cities out there that would love the chance to have a new team and spend to the cap.
-
Your attempts at trolling are pretty lame. Even if revenue was distributed evenly, many owners would simply pocket the extra dough and still set an internal cap. Ever hear of Eugene Melnyk?
-
Still not Detroit's problem. Maybe don't have hockey in Arizona if they can't afford to compete. Covid prevented the cap from increasing for three years. Many teams spending to the cap are now faced with dumping valuable players as well, such as the defending champs. That is what I think is s***. A team spends years drafting and developing players, only to lose a bunch of them because of the cap.
-
Enjoy the player strike if the league were to ever push for such a thing. It would be taking money from the players and putting it into owners pockets. The cap is based on how much money the league makes. The league has revenue sharing to help smaller market teams. Their fault if they don't utilize that to make their team as competitive as possible.

All the player contracts are based on USD, so the conversion rate is never an issue.

Word got out from a reliable source is all. that'll always get reported on. But any rejected offer sheet may never see the light of day. Bergevin could have denied it until the moment Aho signed it if he wanted to. But the cat got out fo the bag, so f*** it. Odds are Marner received one or two himself and rejected them. But nobody can get any concrete evidence on those.
-
Meh, context gets lost in text and people interpret things differently. It happens. Have you ever heard of the bible?
-
Because Aho signed Bergevin's offer sheet! No contract offer has to be reported if not signed. That includes offer sheets. If it's signed it's reported. If un-signed, all we have is rumours and speculation.
-
But Drysdale is right there at 4.... D:
-
That's just it. Any news of a rejected offer sheet will always be a he said/she said sort of deal. Most offered contracts we never know about.
-
Well he got the top 5 right
-
Unfortunately rejected offer sheets may or may not ever be known about. It's said Marner rejected a few. But without anything being signed, anyone can claim or deny an offering or offer of an offer sheet.

At this point I feel MAF is the best target. He can still get it done in goal and he'd bring an asset back.
