This is also very likely true. Maybe he signs it in Tampa with f*** all for taxes, but not in Michigan.
-
But if there is a guy like Drysdale in the draft, that's what I want.
-
Tampa would match that contract in a heartbeat anyway, cap crunch or not. They'd just shed cap elsewhere. And hey, if they can't, they can get a bigger haul for him locked in on a 6 year deal than they would for offer sheet picks.
-
If we were flirting with making the playoffs each year, I'd be all over it. But not yet, as we likely have a couple more top 5 picks in us at this point.
-
We are in no position to do anything that gives up up a first, Sergachev or not.
-
No ******* s***. But your stance that masks do nothing is ignorant and moronic.
-
LA is in a rebuild. They aren't gonna give up futures to offload Quick.
-
And now they are literally letting random fans drink from the cup. It'll be the Covid Cup before all this is over
-
Can you guys make a 'Is Zadina a bust?' thread already? f*** sakes. Would be nice to chat about the upcoming draft here like we're supposed to.
-
Judging by how they are celebrating with fans during a pandemic, the tradition of a cancelled season following a Tampa cup win just may stay intact.

80 points at 16 years old, 105 points at 17. Played in a league with less scoring overall. Not trying to s*** on Rossi here. But we will see several players who go later in the first round (and probably the second round) put up seasons like he just did, as they'll be older players in a league of teenagers. Rossi will probably make an NHL roster before Perfetti. But I do, at this point, feel Perfetti has a higher ceiling. In the end, I'm still hoping for either Byfield or Stutzle to drop or take Drysdale, so it's all moot really.
-
1. Stutzle/Byfield gift 2. Drysdale 3. Perfetti 4. Raymond 5. Rossi Now if Stutzle or Byfield were on the board for us and it's still Perfetti, I would not be pleased.
-
Don't get me wrong, I'm still hopeful for Drysdale. But Perfetti (or Byfield or Stutzle if either fall to us) would be lovely.
-
Yeah. I was high on Rossi until I realized he was only 7 days off of being eligible for last year's draft. Kind of makes you wonder how much of his domination this past season was based on age, as even 6 months at that age can be a huge difference.
-
Way too much money. 7x6.5 or 8x6. Front load the s*** out of it with bonuses. That way when he is 35 and declining his contract is ripe for a poor team needing a veteran to reach the cap floor with little money owed.
-
Art is an idiot so no surprise there. Also, no chance Raymond goes top 3. I'll be surprised if he goes top 5.
-
Yeah, it'll be something like that but bumped up to a third if he signs
-
With the cap staying put for some time, contenders can't afford to throw that kind of money around. That IMO increases our chances of landing him at a "discount".

Anyone who thinks Krug will end up making more than 7 million per season is hilarious. MAYBE he gets 7.5 is a GM panics. He doesn't have the intellect to discuss anything other than in extremes.
-
It means Ericson and Daley are gone. We likely go to camp with bowey and biega. Both are fine as a #6/7 but my guess is Biega is odd man out if all dmen are healthy.
-
Link Fabbri gonna get a look at center this season.
-
Truth. Staal will also be a really good mentor for the kids. His body might not be able to do what it used to, but he was a very detail oriented dman.
-
I'd say #3 or 4. He's not very good anymore. Injuries caught up to him. Sd and Hronek will be clear first pair. Maybe Staal and seider make up second pair. Still an improvement compared to last year.
