Tatar, Athanasiou, and XO's new deals

My opinions of Rasmussen have nothing to do with the obvious reason Tippett wasn't drafted by Detroit. -
Tatar, Athanasiou, and XO's new deals

Holland didn't draft Tippett because a winger is not this team's pressing need. A high end dman and center is. -
Currently deciding between that or buying a bike.

I'll let you know when I find my crystal ball

Quite frankly what I said has nothing to do about whether you gripe about Mrazek or not. I simply don't care. My point was that I think it's more likely that Mrazek rebounds than not. Not to make another Howard vs Mrazek pissing contest.
-
Second season with a starters workload, however.
-
I also think it's important to look at Howard's #'s in his second season as a starter. Not far off of Mrazek's at all, and we had a much better team back then. Howard's weaknesses have been staying healthy and simply not stepping it up in the playoffs. Mrazek has shown he can handle playoff pressure already. If he can avoid the injury luck Howard has had, I see no reason he can't rebound and become a top goalie in this league.

TIPPETT AND HAGUE ARE THE NEXT COMING! HOW DARE YOU BESMIRCH THE GOOD NAME OF TIPPETT!!

Too bad Holland is the only one who can't seem to see that

A first line winger with Mantha's attributes aren't all that common either. -
A lot of us also thought Pulk was nothing more than a one-dimensional player who was nothing more than a nice shot. Mantha has so much more to his game than that.
-
Would have been a dynasty in the making if we drafted Tippet and Hague
-
Wake me up when there is a game featuring Tippet vs Hague. That'll be one for the ages. Screw Ovi vs Sid
-
It's a bummer knowing how sad this list will begin to look come this time next year

This is pretty hilarious coming from Bill -
How can you turn on Tippett and Hague like that?!

So you need substantial evidence on what someone's interpretation of an offensive defenseman is? Like I said. You start arguments for the sake of it because you have an "Always gotta be right" complex. The world ain't black and white, no matter how badly you want it to be. -

No, you certainly did not have to spell it out. I get what you're saying, I just think it's stupid. Offensive defenseman can be a defenseman that puts up points regularly as a defensemen. It can also be used as a description of a style of play for a defenseman. Neither are wrong. One term can be used to describe more than one thing. Welcome to the English language. I'm not gonna waste my time backing this up with data for you. There is a website called google.com where many answers can be found. I feel no need to prove myself right to you. But please, continue to tell me and everyone else how wrong we are because of that. -

The obvious interpretation is that you can't handle others having different opinions than you, so you throw out the word "facts" whenever you can so you can keep playing up the facade of always being right. While this may be difficult to grasp, the things people say on here is their thoughts and opinions. This also includes, and I hope you're ready to hear this, the very things YOU say. What a concept. -

If you're anti-opinion, why the hell are you on a discussion forum on the internet? Unless you have some sort of complex where you have to try and convince everyone you're always right. Oh, wait... -
Red Wings sign D Luke Witkowski to 2 year, 750k/yr contract. Will play as F.

The internet isn't one cohesive unit. Those who complain about the lack of fighters are not the same folks who complain about now having one. Having said that, I agree with you. Doesn't hurt to have a guy like that who can be thrown into the lineup when needed. When he ends up getting as much ice time as AA, then there is a legit reason to complain. -

Do you need people to spell it out for you that everything they say is their opinion? Are we not all adult enough to infer that already? -
It's things like him only getting 3 assists 5v5 in an entire season as a center that concerns me. Doesn't exactly scream high-end center. Hope I'm wrong. Would love to eat crow on this one, but it's hard to not think he was the wrong choice at #9.
-
He's ranked where he was by a lot of sites because of his size. Those who can look beyond that had him ranked as a late first rounder, some cases even in the second round. Holland himself more or less said he is a project and will likely take a few years of development. So please continue to tell me about how I seem to be talking out of my ass.
-
Because we want to see the best player available get drafted. Not projects, which is what he has done two years in a row now. Two years in a row a gift fell into our lap (Chychrun last year, Vilardi or Liljegren this year) and he goes for projects. It's s*** drafting when it comes to decent first round picks.
