I hate hearing Blash talk. It's like listening to Babcock, but with 1 tenth of the intelligence.

Watching the games this season is depressing enough. I guess people don't wanna double up on being bummed out by reading these forums during the games as well

How many players in the league even hit at least 40 in a season anymore? I feel like it's a number you can count on one hand. Our forwards would score more if the team had a competent defense to get the puck up the ice.

Price was a sieve early on. The guy got eaten alive when the pressure was on, and the book was out on him. Took him a number of years to figure it out and learn how to win at this level, but now he is the best in the world. No good player comes into this league playing at their highest level right off the bat. No matter how good they start off, they always gradually get better. Even the best in the world. Also, WHEN they expose Howard. Not if. When. If you haven't noticed, the Blue Jackets are actually a pretty decent team. Nobody is guaranteeing anything about Mrazek. He has a high ceiling and we will be lucky if he gets anywhere close to it. In the end, Howard will never be the guy to take this team to the next level. He has his hot streaks, then he falls apart. People don't make excuses for him because that is what he is now, what he has always been, and what he always will be. Considering this team is a few years away from even sniffing contending status, there is plenty of time to find out if Mrazek will hit that elite level.

Have you ever seen Price early in his career? he was eaten alive for a long time high glove. He got better. So will Mrazek. these things take time.

You see, teams like to win hockey games this day and age. Coaching has come a long way, and players who can't play hockey nop longer have use. If you like fights, there is almost always boxing or UFC to watch.

They aren't bad contracts. They are market value. As the cap increases, so does salaries.

Seeing this forward lineup really bums me out knowing the defense is in the state its in. Though I do feel when healthy, the Vanek-Helm-Goose line should be back together.

Also could have been something as simple as sleep apnea. That s*** is scary.

It's the being stuck playing with guys like Miller and Ott and the fourth line that rubs us folks the wrong way. If it is guys like Miller and Ott who get the axe when AA returns, all will be well. Though at this point I'll believe it when I see it.

Larkin has already been demoted to the fourth line. Would it really be much of a shock to see Blash scratch him next?

They are still very good at spending large periods of time in their own zone

and he is starting tonight. Also, holy hell the state of the name of the Pens arena. Little Caesar's Arena is a blessing in comparison. PPG Paints Arena. Rolls right off the tongue sure.

Am I not a fan because my expectations of this current roster are different? Hell, just maybe Larkin taking his lumps at center now makes this team much better later in the season and they finish strong. In the end, his line is currently scoring. He has been getting better as the season has gone along. I know joesuffP has called out his 1 assist in 24 games, but he also spent a chunk of those 24 games on the wing anyway. And that was probably his worst stretch of this young season.

Playing Larkin at center may not make the team better right now, but not playing him there makes the team worse tomorrow. This team is simply not that good this season, whether Larkin is at center or on the wing. But playing him at the wing is only gonna delay the inevitable.

How will he improve at center without playing center? Hence the need to stay there. At some point, the kid has to take his lumps playing center. Better now than later. Playing center and having a vet like Vanek on his wing is the best thing for him.
