Luckily thats what will matter come playoff time. We will be back in business come April. You can tell the wings are playing not to get hurt. Especially Hank.

I like having them broke up. If they are together in the playoffs they will be shut down. One thing I'd like to see, however, is Franzen be with Datsyuk instead of Zetterberg, and Filppula be with Zetterberg instead of Datsyuk. I'm not huge on Flip and Dats being on the same line because they both seem to be very similar as playmakers. Franzen would be good with Dats I think, and Flip would be able to set up Hank quite nicely. I'd like to see: Franzen-Datsyuk-Cleary Flip-Hank-Homer

I still get a kick out of how he was so in love with the Wings early in the season, and then suddenly so against them after the All Star game.

I know what you mean. I was watching TSN earlier, and when showing the highlights of that game, they said "Crosby assists the game winner!" No mention of Talbot who actually SCORED the game winner...

Teams like Montreal are losers. They gave up their #1 goalie. I cann't see how we can be considered losers at all. With the deal made, our team got better. Dallas and San Jose made moved they absolutely HAD to make to be able to do anything at all in the post season. We had a very strong team to begin with, and we just got better because now we don't have to have Lilja on our 2nd D pairing or Sammy on the point on our 2nd PP unit anymore. That big giveaway by Lilja against the Ducks last year? Far less likely now because it's obvious, barring injuries, that Lilja will get near as much ice time as last year. But either way. Our team improved the way it needed to. Before injuries we were the highest scoring team in the league, and when we get everyone back, we will be able to dominate once again. I also think getting McCarty back is huge for us going into the playoffs. With him, Drake, Downey, and Kopecky, we won't be getting pushed around like we used to.

Yeah it was pretty pathetic. It's sad how peoples opinions of this team change sooooo much just because of a slump caused by injuries. And today we got even better. When we are healthy again, I'll feel bad for the teams that have to play us.

Yeah the guy sure seems to sing a different tune a lot. It was during the season preview back in October, he flat out picked Detroit to win the cup. Hands down. Then that game vs Dallas last week came, and he did color commentary. He pissed me off. I used to be interested in what he had to say, but lately he has just annoyed me really bad. But yeah, he went from "Detroit will win the Stanley Cup" back in October, to "Detroit is too small and not tough enough to make it out of the west and beat teams like Anaheim" in that game against Dallas. Aslo during that game vs Dallas, he made a comment about Jimmy Howard saying something along the lines of "I think the Wings may have found their next goalie!!" and then continued to praise him up throughout the game. Then today on TSN during the trade deadline show, he was talking about how Ryan Miller will sign with the wings in 2 years when he is a UFA, and then he said "because Jimmy Howard won't cut it". It seems all he does now is jump on teams bandwagons who are currently playing good. It's sickening. I can't wait until the Wings beat the Quacks in the playoffs so I can see the bastard eat crow!! It's funny though, that Dallas game he ripped into the wings hard every chance he got. I think the wings heard it loud and clear, because the next game they sure did a number on the Av's, and without their captain. But I'm willing to bet when the Wings get healthy and start winning again, that the TSN "experts" will probably start jumping on our bandwagon again....

TSN gets really annoying as well. Sure there is lots of hockey coverage, but unless you root for a Canadian team, forget about it. It's sad how much time they spent talking about Sundin deciding to stay in Toronto.

Hell yeah!! That would be awesome. Hudler would probably only be a scratch for us in the playoffs like he was last year anyway.

I'd like to see us get Tuomo Ruutu. That would be a very solid pickup IMO.

I'd say they will make a move or two for sure. It's whether it will be a blockbuster or not that is the real question I think. Sucks that Prospal is taken though, I thought we had a good chance of landing him.

Hello, I am new here to. I have been reading here since last years playoffs (discovered this site from the ducks photoshop wars LOL). But anyway, I think there is also Sellanne to think about here. With Neids coming back i'd say Sellanne is more likely to come back than ever. Trading Schneids would probably be the only real way to clear up the space they need. Not to mention the money they will need for RFA's in the offseason...
