Howard is old and proven to be unreliable on a rather consistent basis. Mrazek has been inconsistent but he is young. When he is on his game he is far better than howard. I am quite sure management would rather keep mrazek and see how he develops rather than keep howard.

They are not going to keep howard over mrazek. Howard is having a good season for the 1st time in 3 years. Howard will be the one who gets moved.

What they need to do is just move the vets- including jimmy. Be sellers at the deadline and go with mrazek and coreau. Play the kids, finish near last in the standings and get a good pick. Thats how we need to rebuild rather than make the mistake the leafs made for 10 years.

Not to mention he would get claimed... No way do they do that. Mrazek has a ton of potential. They arent going to give that up because hes having a down year. Frick they still have howard after all his years of being bad.

He moved sheahan to the 3rd line with larkin and glendening. What a joke. Couldn't be more clear he has to go now. Hire patrick roy.

I still blame a ton of that on blashill. Mrazek was fine to start the season and then all of a sudden jimmy got a bunch of starts and blashill just kept going with him. Then jimmy got hurt and mrazek played and got us 8 of 10 points. Since then howard has played mostly and we havent had a very good track record since. And now howard is injured again and blashill sits mrazek again. I cannot believe the clown still has a job.

Seriously couldnt agree more. Howard has come in and been average at best. He can be great, he can be horrible. It changes too often and mike babcock clearly never liked having howard. He switched to monster against the bruins in 2014 playoffs and then played petr in the 2015 playoffs. Howard is not even in the same paragraph as ozzy in terms of greatness. In fact howard will never go down for anything.

Blashill again showing how he is an idiot. Not starting mrazek tonight will furtherly kill his confidence. Last time howard was out mrazek was the Guy. He got us 8 of 10 points. But blashill is too stupid to see that. If i was kenny i would fire blashill first thing after xmas. Heck id call him during his xmas dinner to give him the news.

It is laughable how many of you are acting as such howard lovers because he isnt total crap like the past 2 seasons. He hasnt won us anything since he got on our team years ago but you can all keep holding out hope. Btw he had lidstrom and rafalski and stuart on the team for a few years. Giving up on mrazek is a joke. Some people just do not understand hockey as well as others i suppose. They are the same people who think blashill isnt one of the main problems with this team.

Who has our last 5 wins? Like it or not the team plays better in front of petr and therefore we are able to win games. Also your point is invalid about the starter. At the beginning of the year petr was our starter and yet howard got starts that should have been petr's. Blashill is just a moron and is inconsistent.

Mrazek gets a win and now stupid blashill goes back to howard. Mrazek didnt even play bad most the goals were not his fault at all but yet blashill punishes him. Someone fire this tool.

This team looks LOST. No motivation. No communication. We need a coaching change SO badly. And the idiot continues to play to right handed shots on 1 PP and two left handed shots on the other...so stupid.

Well then he should go back to Mrazek who got 8 of 10 points while Howard was out. The team plays better in front of Mrazek and actually scores more goals too, so that is something to think about.

And howard starting after a bad game. Petr had a bad game and is still sitting for it. Hobestly we have the dumbest coach. He can't handle lines or goaltending.

Mrazek won games and then had a bad game. No need to keep him on the bench for a week cuz of a bad game. Also like it or not but the team plays better in front of Mrazek. A player is different than a goalie.

Howard looks bad tonight. But dekeyser sucks. Why would he even try a slapshot in that situation? I wish we could trade him and get an actual servicable dman.

Mrazek should be playing tonight. He was playing fine and winning games while howard was out and now blashill just benches him. Such a bad coach.

Sheahan moving up to the 2nd line is hilarious. The guy sucks but somehow he gets rewarded by blashill.

There are so many clear problems with this team. For me, the biggest one is coaching. Blashill has to go. It is the same thing, over and over again. If I had to hear anymore about process tonight I think I was going to throw my remote at the tv. This team has no process and continues to get no results. Luke Freakin Glendening continues to play on the 2nd line even though he totally sucks. Blashill has no hand on this team and he needs to go. The 2nd biggest problem is defense. I cannot count how many times our dmen have an easy pass to make, only to not be able to do so, and then we are stuck in our own end longer and get tired. Kenny needs to do something to address this. And Sproul needs to play because he can move the freakin puck unlike Dekeyser, Lashoff. So we need better dmen, and we need a coach who can actually do his job. With any other coach I bet Tatar and Nyquist score a lot more goals like they were doing when Babs was still here.

Too bad the coach doesn't know how to properly utilize any of these players properly, regardless of who or who is not in the lineup. I think if we had a half decent coach, we would have at least 4 or 5 more wins than we do right now. I am not upset when we lose, I am upset at the way we lose. Even when we win for that matter, we are totally outplayed, outclassed. Even in our own building teams are consistently controlling play. So Blashill's response to that is to make us slower by putting Larkin on the 4th line and by playing Lashoff (who is worse than Quincy was at moving pucks) in instead of Sproul. The PP units are a mess. Blashill rewards players who are playing like crap with ice time instead of those who are actually competing hard. I am so sick of this not being addressed. It is just such a glaring issue to me, I do not understand how Kenny does not see it.

This is so frustrating to watch. For the life of me i cant understand why lashoff is playing instead of sproul. And i cant get why larkin is on the 4th line. Blashill is an idiot with absolutely no handle on this team. I want him fired so bad its not even funny.

Again coaching. Why was our number 1 goalie not playing in this game? Just terrible coaching. The starter should always start the 1st game of a back to back.

A game at home where we again get totally outplayed and lucky to get a point. I wish kenny would realize there is a problem with this coaching staff. Great game by mrazek. Hank and mantha had their looks, nyquist looked good. I dont know how bad tatar has to be until he is removed from zettys line. Again thats coaching. I thought sproul had a terrible game. He took the awful late penalty and then in ot we have possession of the puck and hebjust dumps it along the boards giving it to florida, next thing you know they have a breakaway.

This is the game we get from him when its clear that its his team. This is why i was glad when howard got injured and why i will be glad when he is gone. Mrazek is our guy blashill needs to keep rolling with him. On another note, wings totally outcoached in that 3rd period. Jurco needs to play on the 2nd line and glendening needs to go back where he belongs.
