I love how quickly so many people have turned against Mrazek. He has not played good lately but he has still won more than not. He responds well to being pulled. I think Blash should give him another game off and then go back to Petr. Petr is our guy. Howard is gone in the offseason there is no going around that. Mrazek will be fine. Every elite goalie goes through short funks. Even King Henrik and Price. The difference is Howard goes through 3 month funks. So to just call to switch back to Howard is ridiculous. Give Petr a game off and then go back to him and he will respond. The bigger isssue here is our powerplay. We need to fire our PP/ offense coach because this is the worst year I have ever seen our offense and powerplay. It is ridiculous.

Danny D looks like his potential is slowing down to me more and more this season. He doesn't even have good outlet passes anymore and gets beat on D more and more.

And yet petr has continued to win despite not playing his best unlike what Howard did in his 3 month slump. Keep with mrazek he will be fine.

I don't know what game you were watching. Mrazek had tons of nice saves. Before the 4th goal, Petr made like 2 or 3 amazing saves in a row but his D were just standing there so Chicago finally got it in. The 2nd goal was zero chance because the Pk did not know what the heck they were doing. Mrazek was absolutely not the problem last night. I would be shocked if Blashill plays Howard next game. He is going to stick with Petr as he should. Petr is our guy, not Howard. The coaching staff is a big reason we lost last night. The Powerplay coach needs to be fired. How does he still have his job? It is unbelievable! Blashill continues to misuse certain players. Abby does not deserve to play with Pav and Hank because he has zero finish, as shown again last night. Larkin is struggling to generate offense so I think it is time to mix things up a bit: Zetty- Pav- Larkin (Larkin works hard like Abby but has a lot more skill and finish- this will get Larkin going again) Jurco- AA- Tatar Nyquist- Sheahan- Abby Richards-Helm-Glendening

According to Khan, Blash said today that he expects Mrazek to be ready for tomorrow. THANK GOD. Nice that Jimmy got the win last night, but this is not the time of the year we would have wanted something major to happen to Petr.

We do not have time to play him if he keeps losing. Bad coaching decision, especially against the Stars. Petr should be in net.

Would someone please tell me why Jimmy is starting tonight?! This is a big game and we need all the points we can get. Playing a goalie who hasn't won since Dec. 3rd is not a good game plan. It is not even a situation of back to back. IMO the only games howard should be playing are back to backs. Poor coaching decision by Blash.

What a frickin win! The Red Wings definitely deserved to win this game. A few notes: - Another solid game from Petr the Great. What a shame Abby had to lay on him on the 3rd goal because he made such a nice sequence of saves. But again, he came up with late, key saves and even provided a nice assist to put the game away - Finally Nyquist and Tatar get going- hopefully they keep going - Marchekno had a terrible game. - I don't like Abby playing on the top line. He does not do his job of winning battles good enough and he does not have the skill needed. I would like to see Larkin play on the top line because he has been in a little slump lately and he would benefit from Pav and Hank - Can we PLEASE FIRE OUR PP COACH YET?!!?!

Our D needs to get out if Petes way. A lot of pucks are deflecting off them tonight causing petr to have to make difficult saves and has also led to the back of the net.

I think the team feels cursed with Howard in net the guy just can't win. The team plays with much more confidence with mrazek. He needs to go.

If jimmy fails to get a win today I will be officially done with him. A win today and we are 1 point behind Florida. Let's go boys! Khan said blash said he will start pav with hank and go from there. I don't like the sounds of that. How can you possibly separate them when both of them have looked much better like their old selves

The way I see it mrazek has won several games for us this season by standing on his head, when the rest of the team was snoozing at times. Tonight mrazek wasn't at his best but the guys all stepped up and won this game for mrazek. King Henrik , price, rinne and quick have all had games like this. When it came down to it in the 3rd petr made a few timely key saves to keep us in the lead. The game wasn't pretty but the team came together. Like others have said petr always responds with a lights out game after a rough outing so I would actually like to see petr play again tomorrow. I think he will see lots of rubber tomorrow being back to back and he will be up to the task.

Blash said he expects pav to be okay to play tomorrow.

Can't wait for kronwall to get back. The defense is effed. Mrazek hasn't really let in a bad goal but any other game none of those goals go in against him. Hopefully we get a pp goal here and figure things out during the intermission.

AnD in other news jimmy Howard loses again.

We have trouble scoring and what does blashill do? Go back to the line that made pav look average (after he just began to look like himself playing with tats). What a stupid line combo having pav with Richards and Helm. I miss babcock.

He hasn't won since like December 3rd. Just can't seem to win games for the team. If he loses again tonight then I think that's it for him.

Great games by hank and larkin along with the 3rd line. Whichever line Nyquist seems to be on doesn't do good. Z didn't do much with Nyquist on his line and now pav didn't tonight. I really hope we trade him in a big package. Another great game by mrazek tonight. He wasn't tested a lot but once again gave this team every chance to win. I wonder if blash opts to play petr again tomorrow night since he didn't face a lot of shots tonight.

Did you watch any games with babs as our coach? Do you remember how much better everyone including datsyuk looked last year? Babs was a way better coach and got way more out of these players. Mrazek is the only reason we won a lot of games this year.

I feel like we need to fire this new offense coach. The pp he runs is god awful and goal scoring is too inconsistent.

Trouble scoring goals tn and blashill puts pav back with the line of helm and Richards which has never worked. Great coaching.

Helm finally down to where he belongs. I love that datsyuk line with larkin and tatar. Pav has really looked like himself lately and adding larkin and his skill and speed will make that line even better. I feel like the wings are going to put on a show tonight. Go wings !

Sucks to lose Kronner. Even though he hasn't played his best there is no doubt that he is a calming influence on the bench. Green will have to step up and take on that role, something I think will work on our favor. Good that Kronner won't miss as many games but he still gets a good rest. I think this will help him come back fresh and ready to play to his capability.

Not going to help them if they can't give mrazek any support. Mrazek barely let's in more than one goal lately but we can't seem to manage to score much more than 2 a game. Something has to change. Blashill has done an awful job addressing the PP. Green should be on the top unit hands down.

We scored 2 pp goals last game with green out on our top unit. So it makes sense blash goes back to Kronner on the top unit. Green should be on the top unit his shots get through to the net. Our pp is so bad.
