In accordance with team policy, additional terms of the deal were not disclosed. Callahan, 18, was Detroit’s sixth round draft pick (180th overall) in the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The Whittier, California native spent the past two seasons playing with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. In 2009-10, he posted 47 points (20-27-47) in 72 games for the Rockets, while registering 165 penalty minutes.

I won't be there this game (Wings party down in SoCal) but we're looking for a Game 5 If you're there for that we will definitely be setting up a meet up and a preskate for Red Wings Nation West! That's exactly what I was thinking! I was talking to Shanny via twitter the other night.. told him about the fact that I always happen to have a collection of "shanny's fanny" pictures from all the preskates. I said I now have a shanny's fanny album on my pc. He's like I'm so glad my name isn't Jacques. At any rate - adore him and will always think of him as a wing and that's how he should go into the HHOF.

This is hysterical because this was the game I went to and I was talking to these guys - You can see me on the glass at 1:50 in a black shirt then I hold up my zetterberg jersey. I got a huge laugh out of this today after watching it. Scotty B (bald guy wearing a wings flag as a "cape") is at all the games out here and I was talking to him when those three guys game down. Hilarious.

Hey! So it looks like I'm making the drive with a couple of my friends for Game 2 on Friday. Are there any Red Wings Nation West peeps that are going to Game 2? I am so excited! I get to check one more arena off my LIST!!! If you can't come to RWNW - we'll come to you!!! I obviously don't know the area around there.
