We always meet up before the games LR and I host game parties at my house. You should say hi next time. I was working on Big Wangs (which is in the group events section of the forum) but we had only about 4 people say they'd go so... I'm not making a 40 mile drive one way for 4 people.. I love you all a lot but.. Yes, I attempted to get you guys to hit Big Wangs which happens to be a Red Wings bar. I know you mentioned you wanted something close however, I'm driving 40 miles to go if we are all meeting up. It'd be cool to have us all in one place if we're going to get together - it's so much more fun that way.

I saw a Dangle Dangle shirt on the jumbotron at the Joe when I was there for Game 1. I was floored!

I have no problem changing.. I mean it's not like this game can't be dvr'ed and watched (again) later .. and should something change. I'll be up there at 3:00-3:30 finding us THE BEST table in the house... I was actually instructed the "High table" is where we'd want to sit.

OK so this sounds like a no go to me...

OK here's what I was told when I talked to Brent at Big Wangs there's two 60 inch tv's in the restaurant area (one will be the wings game and one will be the lakers game)- there are also loads of tvs through out the restaurant and the bar area. If you want audio they have wireless speakers that you get at your table for the volume of your preferred game. The big screen in the bar area is going to be the Laker game. I was told if I arrive at 3:30-4pm that I'd be able to get us an 8 to 10 seater table. Now what I need to know is ARE YOU IN?! Let me know asap so I can plan. I'm about 40 miles away.

This is what I was told by ThirdManIn who has been to Big Wangs Yep, this is the place! On Cahuenga and Selma. It's pretty fun--they cater to Detroit and Michigan State fans, and they have a bunch of TVs and a lounge with a projection screen. If you go there will definitely be some TVs with the game and Wings and Pens fans and they'll give you speakers for your table. The drawbacks: 1.) Scotty B (aka Cape Boy) will be there. He's actually an ok guy--he reserves tables for any Wings (or MSU) fans who want to come. He also brings a cowbell and is kinda loud and might propose to you again. 2.) It will be busy with the Lakers game. If you get there 4:30-45ish you'll beat the Laker crowd. And you won't get screwed when the Lakers start. But it will be busy.

I will call this AM and let you know what I find out. It'd be silly to show up and then get screwed out of watching our game..

I wanted to let you know that even though I am unable to throw back to back parties for Games 1 and 2 this weekend for the SCF's because I'm going to Detroit for the games.. I want you to mark your calendars for Game 5 for the last Red Wings Nation West gathering of the season. This will also be ThirdManIn's last RWNW party as he and Leah are moving (yes, I'm so sad to see you guys go... you have been a great addition to this group.).... At any rate - MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! SATURDAY, JUNE 6th @ 4:30 PM!! I want to see all of you! I return from Michigan on Monday night so I'll get all the information regarding food etc up here once I get an idea of how many people are going to show. I look forward to this gathering! Please let me know if you can make it!!!! If some of you are new to RWNW and want to meet up with us and feel more comfortable about us gathering at a bar location - please say so. I'd be willing to locate a bar locally (in Huntington Beach that will be able to accommodate us). I don't want anything holding anyone back from enjoying a game with other Red Wings fans - there's really nothing like it. So don't be shy - speak up!!!! Let's go RED WINGS!!!!
