Bettman is an idiot in every way. Just b/c his superstar Crosby won't be playing, the Red Wings pay the cost. I'd rather have a healthy wings lineup than them play in the all-star game. The voting was prolly rigged anyway.

It sucks that players are getting hurt by pucks, but I'd rather get the injuries over now than around playoff time. A few younger players can get a stint of NHL experience.

Keep fighting. This is hockey. If we get rid of fighting, the NHL will lose more fans/viewers. No one gets seriously hurt in fights (there have been some exceptions) It gets fans into games Helps with rivalries- Avs & Wings especially Bettman is finding more ways to kill the sport, from fining for dumb reasons, and now he wants to get rid of fighting.

I know I've been pushing to have some young players mostly b/c of speed. Malts helped them win 3 cups. He has more experience, excellent PK, gets short handed goals. If he's ready play him! Babcock pisses me off at times. The farther in the playoffs, the need for more depth & experience is more important!

If Bettman didn't like it when they Al started swinging the octopus at the beginning he should have said something then. Instead he waits until now to fine him b/c he has nothing better to do. Do everyone a favor Gary, quit the NHL, you've already screwed us in the lockout and everything inbetween. And this is a bulls*** fine. It's tradition, let it be!
