I've been on this forum all day, reading this thread over and over and I just haven't known what to say. I still can't believe this tragedy has happened. This is one of the days in hockey that I will never forget. I just can't imagine what the family and friends of these players are feeling, and my heart goes out to all of them. I know I was a lot younger when the Vladdy accident happened and it's a much different case, but the feeling in the stomach is pretty similar. Red Wings, make this season count and lets win it for Salei and McCrimmon.

So I was talking with a buddy of mine today and he was telling me how the Wings contacted a few players and they refused to talk about coming to the Wings because of Babcock. Apparently, some ex-players of Babcock (including ex-Wings, not just his previous teams) have been bad mouthing him. I've always liked Babs as a coach and have considered him one of the best. But now after hearing this, it makes me wonder if there is problems with Babs and players? We know that he and Commie don't get along, but now that I hear some other players refused to sign here because of him really makes me wonder. Has anyone else heard anything about players not liking Babs?

Thats great that you trust that more, I would too if I was in your shoes. But again, I did not post this to make anyone believe anything, I did not mention any player names. I simply asked a question wanting to know if anyone else has ever heard of anything like what I had just learned, which I have said several times in this thread already. If I was making this post to make Babs sound like a bad coach or whatever it is that a few of you keep thinking by asking for a source, then I would have mentioned the players but I did not because that's not what I was doing and the player's names do not matter, so my source does not matter. I never start threads on this forum because of this reason here, there is always people that have a complaint even though my post was just a question I had our of curiosity. After getting a bunch of minuses, having at least three people in the thread complain about what I say and on top of that have a few people send me private messages arguing with me about me HAVING to tell them my source, I regret ever asking this question and if I knew a way to get my thread deleted completely to avoid all this, I would.

Move it wherever you'd like. Delete it completely if it's such a big deal. I didn't mention any player's names nor did I try to force anyone to believe anything. I asked a simple question based on what I learned today. I don't see how a question would be considered a rumor.

Oh okay. I know about his expectations and it's a plus in my book. I was just wondering if there was more to it than just that, that I've never heard about.

Not to be rude, but would giving you my friend's source really matter in this topic, when I am just asking a simple question out of curiosity?
