THIS is why people like you and I are sitting at home/work discussing the Red Wings on the forums, and not working professionally for the organization. For the record, I agree with absolutely nothing you've said.

I wish the NHL could be more like this guy and admit their mistake. I've never really followed baseball much, but after I heard what this umpire had to say and read the stuff I did, I gained a lot of respect for that league. NHL needs to take a page out of their book.

It will be a Canadian team. I'm trying to find the link, but I can't seem to have any luck right now, but about two months or so ago they said that there may be a second out door game starting this season coming up, which will be for Canadian teams.

I don't understand posts like this. What makes him NHL's talent aside from him previously having a contract with an NHL team? I see him as Russian talent, not NHL talent. He grew up playing hockey in Russia, that's where he learned the game. If anything, they could be saying exactly what you said about the NHL stealing their talent. It would suck to see such a talented player leave, but I wouldn't think anything less of the guy for going to play for a professional league in his native country.

That's what I thought. I just wasn't sure why the article would say that, because I'm sure the Wings' Org already knew. Hell, all of us fans already knew right when they said there was a 3pm press conference.

I'm a little confused about something, so I hope someone here can clear this up. The article states this... Now what I'm confused about is, Stevie Y is Tampa's GM now, so will he still be at this meeting on the 2nd and 3rd of June, to go over the Wings' roster? In a way, it'd be pretty awkward for him and the others I'd imagine, since he's no longer part of the Wings' organization (for the time being I hope..).

I'm a Wing's fan first, and nothing could ever compare. However, I've always had a soft spot for Tampa for some reason that I don't even know. The only jerseys I own are Red Wings and Tampa. I just found it to be a little funny when I read that Stevie Y was going to GM for them.

Even if it is a tie, a tie isn't going to win us a cup. When other teams are improving, us remaining the same doesn't cut it. We need to improve also. Last off season was the perfect example of this. Teams like Chicago got better, while Detroit either stayed the same or went down a notch (depending on who you ask), but we sure didn't improve.

Well crap... I wanted a fun off season! Having a 1 out of 5 shot at Parse (no idea who this guy is) isn't the fun I was hoping for. But I guess deep down I knew not to expect much.

So after many years of being on this board, and other hockey boards, I see people complaining about refs, and conspiracies on a daily basis. I am guilty of bitching about refs too, not because I believe there is a conspiracy going on, but because I want the officiating to improve, and be consistent. Now my question for you guys, mainly directed at those of you who are always complaining and officiating and accusing the NHL of a conspiracy is, do you guys REALLY believe there is stuff going on behind the scenes? I'm not trying to defend to NHL, it's officiating, or the crappy commissioner of the NHL. I just simply want to know if people say this stuff just as a way to vent, or if they truly believe it. After you've answered that question, answer me this one... If there is in fact behind the scenes nonsense going on, how is it that it's kept under such lock down that nobody has squealed? With all the refs in the game, and people in charge, that is a lot of people to trust to keep their mouths shut. Do you honestly believe that Bettman, making the millions of dollars that he makes, would risk going to prison for something like this? I don't know much about the guy, but I assume he has a family of his own too, that he wouldn't want to leave behind by going to prison.

I really like this Subban dude. Never heard of him before this series.
