I agree that they'll probably take Myers for the winner, but Howie definitely deserves this one. He's been great for us this year, and I hope the kid keeps it up. He has potential to have a great career.

I'm not going to lie, I agree with you completely and I have for a while. I'm not saying he's a bad goalie, because he's not. He's a great goalie however, all this nonsense about him being the best in the league, even the best in the world is just something I do not agree with.

I loved it! I've never seen it on TV, so I just assumed it was a commercial made by the organization (not the NHL) to play only at the arena. I hope I'm wrong and it's an NHL commercial to be aired on TV, thats where it belongs.

For those of you who like to hear what they do behind the scenes during commercial breaks, this has been happening all season long, and the second half of the previous season (I don't know about before that, I never watched these feeds). I'm sure it'll be happening next season too. All you have to do, is watch the player cams on nhl.com on Sundays. Those cams that will follow the star of each team. 95% of the time 1 of the 2 cams will be the feed where they don't turn the commentator's mics off.

Agreed, we need to keep that up! Was this the first time it's been chanted? I never heard it before on TV. Seemed like it, since people were unsure of what to chant. Kept rotating between Jimmy and Howie.

That was my first time ever going to a playoff game, and it couldn't have been any better. At the start, when they told everyone to get in their seats 5 minutes before the game to do some hockeytown/no limit chant, it seemed like we were going to have a bad crowd, but wow what a turn around!

It was right after goal #2. And just seconds later he let in goal #3! Everyone around me was saying that's what he gets for touching the octopus.

I've never been to the Joe while it was THAT loud. I don't know what it sounded like on TV, and I haven't read any posts yet, but I sure hope nobody has complained about the Joe today. The entire upper bowl was shaking below our feet, starting at that 3 on 5 PK. Also, way to go Bryz for kicking that octopus. It came back to bite him just seconds after then Z banks one in off his short side! Great game, and especially Howie

Posting from the Joe. That puck at the ten minute mark from where I'm sitting looked in on its side. Looking forward to seeing the TV replay, though. Other then that, they are looking a lot better then Sundays game. Hope they keep it up!

After losses like last night's games, I tend to steer clear of this board until our next win simply because of certain people's negativeness. And after those kind of losses, the last thing I want to do is read posts where people have already given up on the Wings. But to those of you posting here who still think positive, that's what I like. I still think Wings in 6, and if they lose tomorrow, I'll say Wings in 7. Regardless of what happens, many people wrote them off back in November, then December, and so on... I for one, am satisfied with them getting into the playoffs this year. I said any progress in the playoffs for this year is just a bonus, and I still feel that way.

I don't blame Howard for these losses. Yeah, he gave up that 4th goal that he should have had, but the team is just as fault as he is. He needs to stay in, the team needs to play better.
