Pens are my second favorite team, I don't shy away from that, But they will never be The Red Wings or have the history The Wings have. But with that said, Sid Crosby is hated because of his immaturity not his ability. In my opinion the Penguins are Letang, Malkin, and Neal. Crosby is just the celebrity on the team. Hes talented sure. But he'll never be a put your body on the line to win leader. We see them in the playoffs like I think we will, We beat them. Tonight is a statement game.

We take it one game at a time, We will be fine. The Blue Jackets are gonna be the only thorn in our side in my opinion, and really that's not such a bad thing. The Wings And Jackets deserve the Wild Cards more than the Devils and Caps.

Wings will be fine and totally make the playoffs. Montreal got lucky tonight, they get lucky during the regular season, but they will suck in the playoffs mark my words. Pens will have to be a statement game cuz I see the Red Wings playing them in first round and beating them. Wings will be fine and totally make the playoffs. With that said though, when we do make the playoffs, during the off season will the Wings bring back the dead weight free agents. That's what scares me. The its not broke so we don't need to fix it mentality. Let the dead weight go, fix the Defense, let the kids play and its a scary team next year.

Wings will be fine. I see them making it to the playoffs again this year. Personally I want a high draft pick, but a lot of Wings fans would feel bad about the streak ending and I can sympathize but they need not worry the Wings will make the playoffs yet again. Its not gonna be easy, but when has it been easy the last 3 years.

I think the Wings will make the playoffs, there is just something about that magic switch they turn on. As long as we stay within reach. Whose to say that Montreal and Toronto don't start sliding, it can happen. Wings in the playoffs I guarantee it.

Good for them, Ive never had much of a problem with teams like the Blues, Sharks, or Wild, so its been fun watching them in the West, especially possibly destroying the Ducks and Hawks. So any moves they make to dethrone the Hawks and Ducks, Im all for it,

No problem, I listen to the podcast and today was Mac so I figured I'd share.I enjoyed hearing about how the Wings were pretty much a brotherhood during all those cup runs. I like what he said about how much the league has changed. Calling it Bettman's league lol. Reminds me how most of us feel about the NHL today.

Im usually the rah rah guy when it comes to the Wings. I don't panic for some reason. But I will say this, Holland needs to change his approach to building teams. Its now about younger bigger players, not old seasoned vets anymore. Its a young players league. Im actually hoping the Wings miss the playoffs so that Holland will finally open his eyes. This roster is just not gonna get it done, I hate saying that, but our postseason streak is gonna have to come to an end so that we can wake up and build a roster for this new NHL.Holland is stuck in his ways from the past golden years of the Wings. This new NHL isn't the same as when Yzerman and company played. Now you gotta be younger and more physical, skill is not enough. Dats, Z, Tats, Gus, DK, Kronwall, and Helm and Howard I can see keeping obviously, but everyone else is expendable. If we get to the trade deadline and we are out of the race by a big margin, blow it up and trade some guys if we can get anything for them.

As much as it sucks right now to lose. 1 point is better than none. Besides wouldn't you rather your team struggle now and get things right early, instead of late in the season. Just sayin. Go Wings, Go Lions.

Damn was really hoping he would sign with the Flyers. Not that I hate Cleary, but Tatar, Anderson, Nyquist help this team more, if in fact he does take one of those spots. I don't see Sammy or Bert going anywhere.

I like Brunner, and it sucks he won't be a Wing, but what if it turns out to be a really good thing, I mean the guy is talented but like many say, what if he's another Leino. He showed alot of signs of being a soft euro as many would call it. It won't be a total loss though provided we have Gus, Ands, and Tats in the lineup. Sammy is such a burden, lol but thats on Holland. I like Holland I think hes the best in the business, but signing Sammy was one of the dumbest decisions hes ever made and it might (probably will) prevent Gus and Ands from playing.

LoL I forgot all about Mowers and Bootland. What about Cory Cross and his 16 games played.

I think the Wings will get to Eastern Conference Final. It remains to be seen what we do to clear up some spots and hopefully allow Gus, Tatar, and Anderson to play. Defense should be fine with 82 games instead of a fast paced 48 game chaotic season. I don't hate Fil, just always thought he was an underachiever to be honest. Sucks to lose Brunner, but damn that guy can be pushed off the puck so easily, need more grit.

Your on some good drugs then, cuz they couldn't make the playoffs with Stamkos, Vinnie, and MSL. Fil won't change their team, I'd take any of Detroit's lines over any of Tampa's lines any day, and that includes a line with Cleary and Sammy, Tampa has One great player and a few good role players, that's it. People here just give Tampa credit because of Yzerman, Tampa is not that good. Fil can leave and be merry in Florida, he ain't gonna do sh#t there. I bet you $100 bucks the Wings shut him down every time we play them this year. Now that's a bet.

Marchand hands down. He plays with an edge and is passionate to win you can see it by the way he plays. He understands his role. Shaw is a little B****, I would punch him at a Wings autograph signing thats how much I hate the MFer.

Awesome for Paul, he is such a good coach, never truly realized it when he was an assistant. Joe Q looks like a child molester, my GF said that to me yesterday and now every time I see him I think that, lol.

As much as I like Malkin, and would love to see him on a line with Dats the only way i would like to see the Wings get him is as a FA. No sense giving up future for him. Besides we are going to the East and I doubt they would trade him to same conference.

If it comes down to Chi and Pit, i'll root for Pit, they will always be my second favorite team even if Crosby is a whiny *****, hes got talent. Im a huge fan of Letang and Malkin, Neal is good too. Plus i wanna see Iginla hoist the cup. I never wanna see Kane or Toews lift the cup ever again.

This series has been everything I was hoping to see back when we were fighting to be 8th seed. This is the series that the NHL needed to go 7 games, maybe that's why the officials are calling it the way they are, more games more money, and the Wings and Hawks have the biggest fanbase left in the playoffs. 7 games equals more money and more ratings. I'm damn proud of the Wings getting this far and making the Hawks work for it. Win or lose this series makes me proud to send the Wings to the East if it is their last game. Nothing like original six hockey.

Amen to that, even in a down year we made the playoffs, they had to be basement dwellers for years to get good draft picks. I respect the Hawks as players, its the fans and media that make this a rivalry. 22 years in the playoffs is a lot tougher than their little point streak during the season.

I'm not sure if the Wings can beat the Hawks, they play a lot like the dominant Wings teams of years past. I will say this, I knew they could get into the playoffs, they did. I knew that when we got a great match up with an overrated ducks team we would win, we did. I'm damn proud of this team. Hell even Franzen, and I can't stand him. Whatever happens lets give the Hawks all they can handle.

I still think Wings will win this series, the Ducks just don't scare me, its the Wings not playing a full 60 minutes, Howard has let up some bad goals. I got cocky when I saw we would be playing the Ducks and said we would win in 5. Last nights game was just plain bad, and got worse with the Abby hit. Sammy needs to sit and not play. Is it me or do we get beat badly every time he is in the lineup. That's what I thought during the season, I still think we will beat the Ducks, I just don't think we will get past the second round, especially if we were to play the Hawks.
