I feel the same way. I just don't understand what the plan is for this team. I would have love to see what Mantha could do in a playoff game, even if its just to put him out there on the power play. But if our season does end tonight then I hope we find a way to clean this roster up for next season during the summer. Whatever it takes to get out of some of these bad contracts. This could possibly be the last playoff appearance we see for a while. Go Wings!!!!!!!! Give everything you got.

I agree. I just want to know what our plan is. If Blashill was suppose to be the coach that played the kids and took this team into the future with the young talent then it doesn't seem like it. I'm losing faith in Holland with his team management, look what kind of teams Yzerman and Nill created with their team management. .

Do you guys remember when Yzerman was getting slower with the bad knee? He would play with the 3rd line grinders so that the other teammates could get some ice time and be effective.. I wish Z would just stay on the 3rd or 4th line he's gotta know hes not that same player anymore, let AA , Larkin and Mantha lead the youth charge win or lose. I know we aren't gonna contend for a cup, that's years away for the talent we will need. But I would enjoy the playoffs just to see what we have in the kids that atleast is worth watching and to see how we match up with the youth Yzerman put together for Tampa Bay. But instead its the same old lineup that barely wins a game anymore if at all. Maybe that scrum last night will light a fire.

I'm off to work. I believe we can beat Tampa Bay, but I really wish Blashill would just play the younger guys, switch up the damn lines and sit some dead weight. Oh Well. Go Wings!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully we can steal one on the road.

I'm glad we make it 25years, but if we are gonna have any chance in the playoffs Blash has got to lean more on youth and speed. Growing up in Michigan, and having family from Pennsylvania, I had two favorite hockey players as a kid. Steve Yzerman and Mario Lemieux. Wings have always been my number one team and the Penguins my number two. But most people from what i've seen visiting Pitsburgh all these years don't care about the Penguins unless they are close to winning something. They are more Steelers and Pirates fans. So no way are they America's hockey town.

I see Chicago suffering when the Kane and Toews contracts start .Especially if the salary cap ever goes down lower than 71million. I see the Kings or Ducks, coming on strong for a cup run next year. The East doesn't seem like it has any scary teams like the West. Maybe Tampa comes back, maybe Montreal or New York. I Think its gonna be the Ducks though. With that said, I don't like the Hawks at all, but Marian Hossa is one of my favorite players and I'm glad his name will be on the cup 3 times.

I'll be more impressed if they win another cup with the huge contracts coming on the boards from Toews and Kane. They are favored to win the cup again next year but they won't. I look for teams to come in and pick at a few of their restricted free agents like vultures cuz they know the hawks are gonna be hard pressed against the cap.

I'm kinda of tired of Babcock personally. Just go, seriously. The Wings are not that bad like people make it out to be. They win game 4 we just took out a top team in the playoffs. Do we need adjustments at key positions? Yeah. Every team wants a top 6 power forward and a top pairing D-man. I say just roll the dice bring up Blashill and play the kids, if we miss the playoffs fine. I really believe that if we filled out our roster with kids from Grand Rapids instead of some over paid Free Agents, we would be a damn good team.

Yeah it almost sounds like i'm off this sinking ship. And if so have fun somewhere else. Maybe Blashill will play the kids and we can see what kind of talent we really have.

I wouldn't give Stamkos a pass, he can't score in the playoffs, just like Joe Thorton. He better hope to god he scores at least 5 goals against Montreal or he will be considered as a player who can't get it done in the playoffs. Tampa will always be The Sharks of the East, great season, bad playoffs.

I'm Damn proud of this team. I really thought we could beat Tampa as the series went on. They will get destroyed by Montreal, especially if Stamkos is Thorton 2.0 (can't score in playoffs). I think it might be time for Babcock to go. He obviously doesn't want to be here so lets go with Blashill, maybe he has a way to get Tats, Nyquist, and more of the younger guys to do something really special. Dump the dead weight and let's see if Holland can hopefully maybe do something. Have a great summer everyone, You guys are great. Tampa is gonna have alot of pressure. Home ice in a game 7. If they lose they are gonna be considered playoff chokers like St. Louis and San Jose, promising regular season only to falter in the playoffs. If Babcock is as good as we believe, we win. I didn't think we had any chance in this series. Here we are game 7 when we were suppose to be swept or lose in 5. As this series went on I started to look at it like the Ducks series, losing some bad home games only to pull off a game 7 win back then( 2 years ago I believe) . I see the same thing in this series. I believe that the Wings will win. I really wanna win to see how Mrazek handles games against Montreal. But we gotta get there first. I'm damn proud of this team for hanging with the Lightning. Go Wings!

Great post. I will say this, I will support this team till the day I die. Heres a couple things about this game that I think happened. First of all Mrazek had his bad every other game tonight. I love Mrazek but he has that every other game Inconsistency. Thats why I believe we win game 7. We are playing a good team, and we have hung with them all series long. They had to win tonight, had to, they came out like a desperate team, let's give them credit. Now we are the desperate team cuz we are on the road game 7 in a must win game, Pressure is on them, cuz if they lose, they are gonna be a team like St. Louis that can't win in the playoffs. We start on time we win, no doubt in my mind. This series is alot like the Ducks series, we had some bad home losses in that series as well. Home Ice advantage is meaningless. The only thing about what I see in the Red Wings is win or lose, neither Tampa or Detroit beats Montreal. I gotta say though I want to keep going just to see if we can beat Montreal.

Bad Game, but hey, seems like Mrazek was Jekyll tonight, He'll be Hyde next game and we win. The Wings just do things the hard way. Plus its an odd number, we've won the odd numbers this series, 1, 3, and 5. For what its worth we are hanging tough with a damn good team. I don't agree with the media calling us dirty or cheaters cuz we aren't. I want to win this series to spite those people and coaches in the media. Its playoff hockey every team does what the Wings are blamed for doing. Damn look at the fricking Ducks.

We have to expect Stamkos to break through sooner or later. With that said though, if the Wings steal tonights game, we will close it out in Game 6. If not, then all we have to do is win game 6 and put pressure on them with a Game 7. I don't think Tampa can handle a game 7. Inexperience would kill them in a game 7 and help us. Just my thoughts though. Let's Roll. Go Wings!!!!!!! (I just keep thinking this series is gonna end like the Ducks series 2 years ago, Wings winning in 7)

Heres how I see it. If Wings can win tomorrow we take the series in game 6 at home. But if we lose tomorrow, we will win game 6 and force a game 7. I like our chances if its all or nothing in game 7. So right now at least make sure you win game 6. Hopefully though they steal tomorrows game. And yes it does suck being tied 2-2 right now. Remember when we were up against Hawks 3-1 and still lost the series? This team has to do things the hardest way possible for some strange reason.
