I'd have to say that the Red Wing fan who posted that has to be a complete idiot. Best current, sorry, GREATEST current hockey player of today is hasek eh? I thought to be the greatest you'd have to play.. I could be wrong, but that'd make that kid right. Yeah, I'm right
-
That was brilliant
-
From Montreal eh?
-
Very true. Most Tigers fans are bandwagoners and this will steadily be proven if they keep sucking it up.

Well in that case, he'll be just as "rusty" as Abdelkader! I think you'll find I have a lot of love for The Kader
-
You're probably right, not that I agree with it.. SHOW ME ABDELKADER BABCOCK! ..come to think of it, why isn't he playing with the Griffins? Is he still at school or something?
-
I WANT ABDELKADER!
-
I'd have to agree. I never thought I'd see the day were I was more disappointed and frustrated with Filppula than I am with Sammy Heres to him putting in a goal or two in the coming games :beerbuddy:

Thing that annoys me most is that they play the I like it, I love it song after EVERY FREAKIN GOAL!! I can't stand that song to begin with, let alone hearing it over and over and over again We need to keep the puck out of the net for my sanity's sake

And Hartigan is a hardend veteran. Simple fact of the matter is Hartigan hasn't done anything to warrant not being replaced. I mean, Lilja has been a lot more impressive than Hartigan and he's been replaced.. and he's been here for years. Hartigan is just as interchangeable as Lilja, more so IMO. Give the kid a shot

Its Abdelkader, without a 'y'
-
He did look really good in those couple games and I'd love to see him in the line up but the way the team is playing, who would he replace? I would replace Hudler with him in a heartbeat ...except for the fact that he's our leading our team in points with 4 (I never saw it come either I know!) Maybe Hartigan should be swapped. I don't think he has played poorly but he certaintly isn't playing like someone who will ever be in the Wings first team. I say Abdelkader deserves a shot, if only for a game or two. He'll def. bring more of a physical presence than Hartigan does and from what little I've seen of him I'm very impressed

I prefer to think of us as the Patriots of the NHL. I think it fits the best.

Don't know if its been said, but that quote at the bottom seems a bit weak to me, I mean, Dick Devos? C'mon! That aside, wallpaper looks amazing! Here is just a couple suggestions I have for other quotes (maybe I'm out of line, you let me know if I am) The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen. Brilliant wallpaper, exactly the kind of wallpaper I like. Simple. Please please please make it in 1920x1200!!!

Tiger Woods is the toughest athlete... ahh no don't think so. The best, maybe. Toughest, no.

Hockey players need to get some personality and learn how to read que cards with emotion! .. I didn't believe a word they said
-
Ahhh I guess just give me everything the Olvechkin has got. Yea, that should do it.

They are far too big, you can't argue that. What you can debate is why the league isn't doing anything about it. I've heard rumblings of this changing next year, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Oh and I love the fans on there saying how we're jelious because he has the best positioning and thats why he's so good LMFAO! I'd like to see how effective his sound positioning is when he can no longer strap a matress to his chest and full-body pillows to his legs
-
I just checked wiki to see his height and weight and he's listed as 5'11 200.. is he really?! He looks a lot bigger than that on tv.. thought he was atleast 6' 210. If this is true I guess it ruins my powerforward argument, he's too small to be classified as that haha
-
ehh.. I really don't see Lilja having anything to do with offense, to slow and clumsy.. I agree that he'd be an addition to our forward grit but I think we already have enough of that throughout the entire team. Also, no way is meeches size a problem. He moves so quickly and builds speed up fast, once you have his body moving you can't knock him off the puck! And if you look at how many opportunities he's created for himself and other players playing on defense alone you'll start to see how offensive minded he already is.. a year on the roster as a depth forward would see him move up the line significantly by years end. I think he's already got the talent to be a starter.. just my opinion of course

Love the topic, was just thinking I should start one.. oh well, you win I am all for Meech being converted to a forward!! If you watch him carfully its amazing how he moves around the offensive zone like a forward-AND HE'S PLAYING DEFENSE! He really does find the open ice and positions to shoot well.. not a bad passer either. And think about his size! I mean I don't know his exact numbers but he's comparible to Franzen and IMO he's already got far more skill than Frazen witht he puck. You give that kid a couple years playing forward with the Wings and I bet you'll have a hell of a power-forward. ..and he's Canadian, they know how to play tough and physical
