He actually said he is an insurance policy in this interview http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2008/07/ho...s_roster_p.html

You gotta be kidding me, Hartigan has an offensive arsenal? Helm plays with an egde. Hartigan is a dull and ineffective fourth liner so far.

Thats what I mean, I'm not expecting hard hitting hockey from him game in, game out because he only needs to play that way in the playoffs.

They talked a lot about this on 97.1 a couple days after the parade. They were talking about cup sightings and he was at "Chelli's Chilli for several hours late into the night" Apparently throwing back beers with the old pals and fans.

I say, no way. He's not built to be able to handle that style of play game in, game out. If he tries to he'll get worn down and injured. And I think both he and the coaches realize that.

Lebda is very expendable. He has speed sure, but you can't tell me he would be sorely missed if Quincey were to step up in his position.

OOoooh, that looks nice ...the name and colors I mean, who cares about the number

probably every year. But it's just because everyone wants the Chi-Det type rivalry of the past I'm hoping they're going to be a lot better, makes things more challenging and exciting to watch On the other hand, this isn't going to be the year they all of a sudden are bigger contenders than Dallas or even Nashville (they were our toughest opponents in the playoffs, imo)

Eastern Conference: All offense, no defense edit: by this I mean Pitts is dumping all their money into forwards and not solid defenders.. It's gotta be addressed or they got no shot at a cup ...Orpik might be leaving too, their best D-man

For fook sake, let the kid play! I'm so sick of debating this it's not even funny... agh!

Personally, I don't think Val is leaving no matter what the offer. Realistically, the most he would be offered is 3-3.5 and that seems high for a 2 or 3 year contract. Kenny would be willing to offer that kind of money, maybe more to sign him to a 4 or 5 year deal (Kronner like). I'm sure a long term higher paying contract thats back weighted would be what holland is looking for.

Yeah, I posted this vid and several others a couple weeks back.. I take offense to a reposting

Jesus is a myth, fact.

I just don't feel we need a big name signing that's all.. why spend the money when you don't have too? We have our core players locked and now all we need is our young guns to keep imporoving. If that happens then we'll still going to be a better team next year..

What a well written, in depth, and insightful article..

"...but as he readied a shot toward the open net, he was hauled down with an abundantly obvious stick foul so blatant that Helen Keller would have been forced to raise her arm."

Damn, Ericsson is a monster

I'd do most of my searching on ebay.com I bought the the championship hat on there for 25 shipped.

I think they will, it only makes sense. We have crazy depth in defense and two talented goaltenders behind ozzie. I'm not at all sold on Kopecky, I think he'd be more useful as trade bait.. sign a forward Kenny! Get it done!
