I don't know how effective Hasek would be given the time he hasn't seen action. I don't think there will be but if there is a goaltending change , it should in tonights game ao that you'd have another option for game 7 by going back to Osgood.

Its like the same situation that Babcock faced with Hasek struggling, but imo Osgood's proved that he's more than a backup which everybody outside of Wing fans thinks he is. I wouldn't leave Theodore in. The next game is key for the Av's. If they lose the series what will he say then? At least for game 3 I would, and if Budaj has a bad outing then go back to Theodore.

Great to see Mac go at it with McCormack

My favourite would be the game against the the Wild when Hasek sent Gaborik flying. He goes over to argue with the ref after the incident and he gets called for a tripping penalty, I couldn't stop laughing, but it was classic Hasek nonetheless.

I hope he doesn't mean Hank or Datsyuk. Datsyuk always seems to see the guy's running him at the last second, but with Tootoo you never know. At least this year the Wings have a couple of guys that could issue some pay back.

Anyways, he says not a balanced offense, whats he talking about? How many 20 plus goal scores compared to other teams and also leading in a lot of the stats offensive and defensive. Everyone's riding the Shark wagon imo and so be it, then less attention on the Wings. One could argue that they've peaked too early if you look at the Sharks. Throught the whole season people were saying that the Stars would catch the Wings, then the Sharks were next, but it never happened. Go Wings

Anything is possible, but I think they'll win the series against the Preds. Their power play the first half the season was great but its lost a bit of great puck control that the Wings usually have when its working well. Cleary doesn't seem as intense as he was before the injury and they'll need Draper healthy. Goaltending, could go either way, both have had excellent games and also they had some stinkers. Does anybody think that they can sweep the series? If Franzen keeps playing like he is, and Cleary gets to the level of play that he was at before his injury then the Wings would have two solid lines. I hope that Stuart is ready like Babcock said, but can't wait for the playoffs to finally start......go Wings go.

If he gets 5 -10 games I'd be surprized because like everyone's mentioned he's Chris Pronger. He should get 30 like Simon, but I think they re-opened the case after a better video angle was found from somewhere. Plus the fact that he's a repeat offender going on 6 or 7 suspensions. Already media guys are defending Pronger, so that's going to help his case imo, but I hope he's gone for 20 -30 games which I know will not happen given his star status with the league. Its always interesting to hear guys like Cherry say that Pronger's better than Lidstrom because of his physical play, but with these constant suspensions and bad judgement on Pronger's part it just shows how wrong Cherry is and Nick is leagues ahead of Pronger even without the physical play.

I hope Lidstrom plays but if he's not ready its best to rest him. They play the Preds a lot this month and I hope they can build on the 2 wins they have so far and get to the usual 5 or 6 in a row. Like everyone's mentioned with Tootoo.... nail him Downey. 4-1 Wings

Its great when both Zetterberg and Datsyuk work together with their plays and quick passes and goals. When Holland signed Datsyuk to a new contract last year I thought that he locked up a great player for the Wings at excellent price compared to the some of the signings by other GM's. Everyone knows his offensive abilites but to me he's improved in his defensive play and overall strengh. His play in the corners and the way he backchecks is what I see improving from last year. I'm glad that they have Downey and McCarty this year because come the playoffs guys like Zetterberg and Datsyuk imo get single out by teams and they take runs at them. I think Datsyuk will finish with more points but both are excellent players that feed off each other but given their second line problems they may need to be seperated.
