You're right. Howard would be getting torn to pieces. But Howard has a long history of poor puck handling whereas Petr is usually one of the best. Is it going to be like this til Howard leaves? Every time Petr makes a mistake some Jimmy-slappy fan is gonna lament that "if that had been Howard....." We know what would've happened "if it had been Howard". But it wasn't. It was a different goalie with a different skill set at a different stage of his career. That's why there's a different reaction.

Howard of 3 years ago vs. Howard of now. He's now 1-8 in his last 9 playoff games. I suppose Petr must be 3-4 in his last 7 playoff games Yeah I think I remember hearing that they only got shut out twice during the season and Petr shut them out twice in the series.

Howard has 1 win his last 8 playoff games.... (21-25 career in playoffs)

My Doc tried to get me of the narcotics (Cuz he just 'Hates Them') so he put me on sinemet, an anti-Parkinson drug. needless to say he didn't warn me about the side effects of that medication, cuz if you just stop taking it, apperently you start to get Parkinson's symptoms! That was a month ago and I still haven't gotten back to feeling myself yet

sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Haven't been feeling well for the past month or so. But Howie has been playing really well tonight and he's getting some nice support from the team on moth ends. AA and Mantha both look great. AND ZETERBERG SCORED! Nice. and HELm ohhhe miss the net.....

I don't have the video, but early in a game Mraz got scored on when Helm tried to block a shot and hit deflected about 25o straight past Petr. Petr shrugged his shoulders towards Helm in a manner suggesting "WTF man? Get outta the way"

Anybody think Petr's groin is still bothering him? His game's gone to hell (in Herb Brooks voice) since then. You guys know how much I'm not a fan of Jimmy but I thought he should have started one more game before Petr came back to give him more time to heal, especially given how well he's been playing. Not trying to make excuses for him, but we saw the same thing happened to Jimmy last year and his game never really recovered.

To be honest, I've seen the same excuses for both guys. Just depends on how you want to remember things (whose 'side' you were on)... But as Chaps said, Mrazek is gonna get a little bit longer leash than Howard. He's younger, he's the future in net, and frankly he's just better. On top of that, this is like the 3rd season in a row where Howard has had not just a bad stretch here or there (which would be normal), but had serious struggles. That can't happen when you're supposed to be (and getting paid like) the number 1 guy and are in the 'prime years' of your career (as in not close to being a rookie anymore and not at the tail end of your playing days. Or however you want to define 'prime years', you guys know what I mean!) All that being said, we need to win some games and stop giving up 5 goals a game regardless of who's in net. By all means play the hot hand, having two goalies is supposed to come in hand in situations like this!
