Bummer that the Jets didn't get a playoff win. Props for them to making it and that fan base showed up until the very last second of those two playoff games. Deserving, hope this is a step in the right direction. Ducks didn't deserve the sweep but the way their team is compiled, with guys like Kesler, Getzlaf, Perry, then add youth like Rakell, Etem, Beleskey, Gibson, Fowler....frightens me. Glad Wings won't have to play them until potentially later. Quack quack quack

I get text alerts when "Student Rush" tickets are available, discounted tickets sold to those who can show student ID, usually sold as singles in order to fill the stadium. Just got one for tomorrow's game. Which begs the question, I know Wings bolster a "sell out streak" for home games, but maybe people just aren't as interested with the team anymore. Not sure.

Would be shocked if Crawford does not start Game 2. He is their guy and led them to Cup before. Darling looked great, but Q is a smart coach and the goalie switch was to get the team to rally after giving up three in one period. (It worked).

Shane O Mac. I like him too. If he can keep this up, I like our first three starters a lot. Makes no Scherzer/Porcello okay. Pleasantly surprised with the 7-1 start.

Let's go Wings! Seems as though this game is being played as a final practice/rest up before the playoffs. Not a bad idea, IMO. Hockeytown and all other GDTers...thanks so much for another great regular season's worth of graphics, lineup updates, etc.

Impressive first series. I'm taking it slow because it was against the Twinkies. However if Shane Greene can look like that this season, and JV comes back even okay, the rotation looks great, and I have better hopes moving forward. The bullpen though...we shall see.

I am very happy and relieved and proud of DRW for making the playoffs for 24 straight seasons. It's an amazing accomplishment. I also can do without the extreme negativity, never fun. But I disagree with a sentiment of, "Hey let's be happy we're in, this team is still great!" Yes they are, but they have faltered after looking extremely promising at several points during this season. Further, expectations are reasonably high for this franchise. I believe it is understandable to be disappointed with this team. We invest so much as fans and sure, these runs to the playoffs are great, but it is not baseless to be somewhat disappointed. All being said, love this team til I die and here's to an improbable playoff run. Cheers!

Don't Stop Believin' Journey (song needs to die, further..South Detroit is Windsor, Ontario) Things that shouldn't happen: Individual goal song All being said, I'll miss the Joe when it goes. I envsion they will have some sort of rebranding with the new arena, but keep some things the same.
