Huge fan of soccer here and thought I would bump this thread, just as European season heats up, and MLS season is beginning. Fingers crossed someone else is paying attention! 1) Anyone got a favorite to win the Champions League? Real Madrid's performance yesterday shows they are slipping. Can Bayern regain their stride? Or is this just Chelsea's year? 2) Premier League...what will the top 4 be? Will Aston Villa be relegated? Can Harry Kane seriously keep up his goal streak? 3) MLS. Are you going to pay attention? Will big names like Altidore, Gerrard, Kaka, David Villa, Lampard, etc. make a difference? Sound off!

This would be a real bummer. Quincey has had quite the bounce back year and has looked real solid for our defense, in my opinion. I called for his head almost every game last season. Hope that if he's due for surgery it is quick. Godspeed.

Agree with sentiments that Sergei will not be in the rafters and rightfully should not be. However, he is still one of my favorite Red Wings ever, and in his prime, simply one of the most talented, perhaps the most talented, Red Wings ever. Godspeed, #91!

The defense as a unit has been surprisingly reliable this season. Kronners I think has declined but still gets the job done, Quincey has indeed bounced back, as horrible as that tastes coming out of my mouth. XO I hope stays up for good. Smith and Biggie have their blunders but their respective roles are filled well, IMO. Danny is need of polishing but the future is bright with him, XO, and Marchenko.

This team is making a believer out of me. Not sure why this game in particular stood out, but 8 or 9 in this stretch, I would have told you you were high. The grueling schedule as of late would test them and they've answered the bell. Obviously a lot to be had, but I think the Wings will really compete for the Cup this year, no lie. LGW!
