Games against the Caps are always pretty interesting, and it'll be fun to see how well Green does against his former team. Former Wings players tend to play pretty well against us on their first games, so I hope to see a similar fire in Green. The Leafs must be feeling pretty confident considering how they got their second win of the season not too long ago, and they always play better than expected when you least expect it, so I have a feeling they'll put up a bit more of a fight this time around. Either way, Wings v Leafs games are always entertaining to watch, especially more so now that they have Babcock as their coach. Here's to a good game between classic rivals! We managed to beat the Bolts pretty convincingly last time, but it'll probably be a much tighter game this time around. It was nice to see the Wings pull through a solid win against the Sens' last time, but the last minutes of the game kind of worried me, so hopefully we'll see more of the earlier parts from our boys in Red this evening. Oh man, I'm still not way too worried, nor am I going to start making those Blashill comparisons, but it is pretty scary being at .500, since it can go either way from here. I'm still going to be positive about it and just hope for the best. We have a good lineup, and I'm sure it'll only be matter of time until they find their game. Okay, the game against the Hurricanes didn't go as well as I had hoped, and this one will likely be even tougher against Price and the Habs, but it'd be awesome to see if Mrazek can step up and rise to the occasion. That said, I hope we start seeing all the other guys not named Zetterberg, Abdelkader, Larkin, and Nyquist (at least of late) step it up as well. Here's to a good Saturday game! The Canes gave the Wings a pretty rough time in their barn last time, and we're pretty lucky to have got the W, and most of it was thanks to Mrazek playing lights out. This time it'll be at The Joe, and the Wings should be nice and rested up, so hopefully the shots won't be so lopsided this time around. Also, I hope they save some energy for tomorrow's game, they're gonna need it to beat Price. That said, here's to a good game! Aw man, that's a bummer about Franzen, but I do wish it's nothing serious, since he has actually been looking pretty good out there. This will be the perfect opportunity for Jurco, and glad to see that he wasn't tossed into that 4th line. That said, Nyquist, Sheahan, and the others should start showing up, since we can't rely on the top line to carry forever. Now, let's show those Bolts that this season is a different story.
