11/17 GDT: Blues 3 at Red Wings 7

Did Zetterberg and Cleary secretly change Jerseys, and pull facial swap like in that movie? Even when we suck....we rock. Lol

In many ways I'm glad that it is still tied. Score could be way different real easy.

Both Goaltenders look more stable in the 3rd. Hope Detroit can pull a goal on this PP. We're due. Right now Blues PK > Wings PP I'm starting to wonder if maybe Abbey shouldn't get some increased ice time. Blues Top Line > Wings Top Line tonight. I don't know if the team has the flu or what. Datsyuk knocked on his ass like three times tonight already.

It doesn't help that St Louis is playing like their lives count on it.

Ain't no excuses. This score is exactly what it should be.

Abdelkader is one hard workin' dude. He impresses in every single game that he's in.

It's gonna be one of those nights. Hopefully if it's gonna be a bunch of goofy goals it ends up a high scoring game.

Red Wings Nationwide Arena vs. Jackets

Funny, that was my first thought too. Like the Family Guy clip where Peter gives the inmate a copy of Chris's school schedule, with a list of fears on the back

    Stanley Cup Droughts

LA has about their best chance of breaking their drought this year, as I've ever seen them have. When Chicago died after winning Stanley, I believe the spirit of Stanley was reincarnated in this years Kings. Unfortunate for them, the Winged Wheel seems to be headed to the same place. I am making this bold Prediction, here and now. If Detroit and the LA Kings meet in the playoffs, the winning team will go on to win the Stanley Cup.

My B-day was Nov 13th. I too turned 21....for the 11th year in a row Oshie and Perron out, but St Louis is a team that gets hard work out of 4 lines, but there's not particularly a lot of skill on any line. Oshie was leading them in points a week ago, if I remember correctly, and it was something like 1 goal and 9 assists. They have scoring splattered all over the place, like no one on the team has any points, but everyone somehow has 2-3 goals That said, I get more nervous playing teams that work hard for 60 minutes, than I do when we play high end talent teams. Should be a fun game. I'd love to see Detroit light the lamp on Halak over and over, but I Get the feeling Halak is due for a stand on his head performance. Maybe he'll wait until the next game, we can hope I call a 3-2 victory, Wings. D'Agostini, Boyle for Louis. Zetterberg, Kronwall, Hudler for Detroit. P.S. On the NHL All-Star voting, did anyone try to write in Howard? "Howard, Jimmy" I got an error saying "Player does not exist" You can vote multiple times, so I was going to do one vote for an All-Wings lineup, and I did a second vote for a Non-Wings lineup. I hate the current system for All-Star balloting though. Somewhere, some dude is sitting in his room for the last 12 hours voting "Crosby, Crosby, Crosby" over and over :-p I just woke up. Sorry for rambling, I didn't get my Monster yet ;-p Heh, I remember back when I use to have to adjust the antennae on my TV to watch games. Sometimes you could take wire or coat hangers to extend the length of it. If all else failed, you had to move the TV closer to a door or window :-p Pshhh.... In the words of Robin Williams (I think it was him): "When I was younger we were so poor that we use to get stoned, and watch the Radio!" I've contacted Red Wings front office. After hearing your inspiring story, they ensured me the Wings will win tonight. Then they said blah blah blah, something about "this is Domino's, not the front office....are you going to order?" I didn't pay attention to the minor details.

    Interesting Stat

It's also interesting if you look at it this way: St Louis 5-0-0 vs East 4-4-3 vs West Columbus 3-0-0 vs East 6-6-0 vs West LA Kings 5-0-0 vs East 7-4-0 vs West Dallas 5-1-0 vs East 3-6-0 vs West Detroit 11-3-1 vs West Note: Only 4 Eastern teams are over .500 when playing against the West. Interesting Stat

Lol, feels like it. Interesting that Detroit hasn't played the East yet. I didn't look it up, but do we start playing the East at home or away I wonder. Guess it doesn't matter. Being on the far East side of the Western Conference, playing in our own conference requires a lot of travel. I mean California has three teams, Arizona is practically California, and the Canadian teams are halfway out in the boonies too. I get the feeling when we start playing the East teams, our schedule will actually be easier. Boston and Florida require a hell of a lot less travel than California. I wonder how that will factor into it. I expect a lot of W's when we play the Eastern teams, honestly.

Get use to this trend. A lot of the post-cap successes, are spending all their cap space, to lock up breakout guys, who may or may not do their job 2-3-4 years down the road. The cap makes teams move people around, clear up space, and take gambles on people. In a poker game, Chicago went "All in", and won. But nothing left for later tournaments. Can't bully out a win now. Pittsburgh, is a high card team. They bet on high cards, and can't play a low card game for s***. Detroit, likes to slow play the f*** out of the system, but they're the quiet guy who gets you in the end, round after round. Win some, lose some, but always in the game. I totally blame him.

Pittsburgh is at .500 right now. Another "super team" struggling early. A few of those this year, with guys like....St Louis, leading the way. Weird year. Yeah. What are they thinking. They should just let us score a few more. How dare they try to screw up our stats

Why would we go to that forum, in the middle of a game It was intermission, anyway. There's no burger king forum. What if I want to discuss burger king commercials We should make a forum for that, since apparently every discussion goes somewhere else Go to any game, or any house party, and see if people don't get sidetracked But you're right....back on track.

Like I said, I liked Star Ocean. Not the greatest graphics, but fun game play. Last good RPG I played on the computer was Neverwinter Nights 2. Fairly solid game. I've gotten more 'use' to the first person RPGs (Morrowind, that game with the two worlds....whatever it was called?" I really, really enjoyed Fallout 3 however. It took me 4 tries to get into that game, and when I did, I was hooked. And there goes the shutout........... Thanks, to the Jinxy McJinkxinstein, who jinxed it in an earlier thread.

He did it in Vancouver too, for about....1 year. The man has skills. I think his injuries really screwed him for a long time. I think Bert is starting to realize where he fits in. He's starting to notice that when nobody else is scoring, he can. I think he finally has confidence in his play.

Yeah man, what happened to quality RPG's? I love RPG's too, but it's so hard to find them on modern consoles. One I did enjoy on PS3 was Star Ocean. Dragon Age was....ehhh....linear as hell, and you could tell they spent 90% of their graphic design on the character models (Which are beautiful), and forgot to actually make the world impressive. FF13, I thought was hugely time consuming, the fights lasted way too long, and it was mostly the definition of linear. Whatever happened to Breath of Fire? ChronoTrigger? ChronoCross? Final Fantasy's actually being RPG's, instead of theatrical time consumers? Don't know about PSP though. I actually own a NintentoDS because when I bought it, it had more RPG's than the PSP.

I like Mo, but he just doesn't seem to do much during regular play. When he plays with desperation, you see his experience come out of the box, but when he's just playing "the system"......there are better people to put out there. Modano is, what Modano is. He will never fully adapt to the system. Realistically, there are maybe 2-3 minutes a game where I like Modano being out there. Not because of his skill, or because I think he only deserves 2-3 minutes of playtime, obviously. Just because our style is so different than what he came from, that he doesn't always work well with our system. I think he might even be better on the PP down deep, than on the point. He has never exactly been known as a defensive forward, and usually you want a defensive forward playing the point. Or....a defenseman I dunno, Mo has talent and experience for sure, but it's very obvious he's having a hard time finding his "Spot" on this team.

So, Intermission. How you guys doing? Anyone do anything cool today? I'm watching "The Stand". Yes, the six hour long Steven King movie, from the 90's.
