I have no idea, I was scratching my head over that.

Never too early. I don't think that number will change much. We really have little to offer other teams as far as players at the TDL, and with expanded rosters it might not matter. Agreed Bert and Hronek will get contracts. Helm and Glendening won't be going anywhere, every year the rumors are out there about them being traded. If anything they get short term contracts and will retire as Red Wings. As to the rest, Stall and Ryan may, may get traded, but will only return 4th rd or lower. Bernier is the only other possibility although remote. I don't believe any of the others have any trade value.

7 Wings prospects in the WJC. Lucas Raymond Sweden Theodore Nierderback Sweden Elmer Soderblom Sweden Albert Johansson Sweden Gustav Berglund Sweden Eemil Viro Finland Jan Bednar Czech Republic

I have seen up to 15 deep. Very heavy on D. I think 8-10 will be a high quality pick.
-
Greiss, Merrill, Stetcher, Ryan and Nametsnikov(sp?) are all good, not huge additions. We should see improvements through out the line up. These improvements will be small, not huge. I just can't see better than 28th.

And there lies the gist of the whole problem. What is fair compensation? Tampa's picks will most likely be 25th or lower in each round. 25th or lower 1st rd and 57 or lower 2nd rd. And any prospects need to be top 9 F/C or top 4 D. And why not split the players into 2 separate trades? We continually discuss Johnson and Killorn together as inseperable. Johnson alone shoud bring a 1st, 2nd and a prospect. Killorn shoud bring a 1st and a second, or 2 seconds and a prospect.

Didn't know about Sergechev. I think I would be interested in Cirelli as he is a center, which we could use. I only brought this up because the rumors are ALWAYS Johnson AND Killorn. Those proposals are always WAY in favor of Tampa Bay. A late 1st is a 2th pick or later and a late 2nd is a what, a 57 or later. Just not enough for 1 or the other, and for Detroit a ROYAL screw job for both at a 1st, a 2nd and a prospect.. I'm just not familiar with Tampa's prospect's to make a judgement on their value. I would rather say thanks, but no thanks to the whole thing.
-
Why trade for Johnson or Killorn, Why not wait until Tampa can't sign Cirelli, Cernak, or Sergachev and just grab up the that gives us the most help.
-
The contracts are not that bad, with the proper compensation. But, there lies the crux of the problem. At what cost. We have prospects that need looks to see where they are at their development. And how many seasons have we seen the speculation of Helm for prospects or Glendening. So now we add Johnson and Killorn to this list. There are no guarantees of moving anyone at the Trade Deadline and then the rebuild it thrown out of whack.

Good reads. 2nd line or 3rd, I really don't care. As long as he plays hard and smart I'm ok with that. Personally, I think he will be a very good 3rd line center.
-
Pass. To much salary and term. This does not fit the rebuild time line. Johnson (5mil AAV 4 yr) alone should garner a 1st, and 2 2nds, or a 2nd and a prospect. Killorn (4.5 mil AAV 3 yr) should garner a 1st, a 2nd and prospect, or 2nds and a prospect. And these picks would most likely be late rd picks. This rumor smacks of very poor asset management.

Awood40 video. He has lot's of Red Wings stuff and does a pretty good job. I agree with most of what you are saying, I just don't see 2nd line center, yet. He still hase time to improve, but I really like his compete level.
-
Some of us here don't have the luxury of watching overseas games. We have to view highlights and posts from reading forums to glean information and form opinions. As for Veleno I really don't care which line he is on. I'm more concerned about compete level. If he play as a 50-60 pt 2nd line, Great. If he play as a 40-45 pt 3rd line, good. If he playes as a 35-40 pt 4ht line, ok. I just want to see 60min of hockey by the whole team.
-
I think we all have high hopes for Veleno. Maybe to high, as I just don't see the development as higher than a bottom 6 center. But as you noted, he's only 20. so hopefully he can pick it all up. As for Zedina, I think he's a legit top 6 winger. I want to see Zedina, Nametsnikov and Fabbri together.
-
His 2 way game looks good, and I hope he continues with it. If Veleno has a Chris Draper type career he won't be a total bust.
-
How has this been debunked. +/- is applied to individual players across the board. Besides his $4.95AVV for 4 years is a bit much for a bottom 4 d.

Pass. https://www.nhl.com/player/noah-hanifin-8478396 Career +/- of -47. Not good for a Defensive Defenceman. Also history of Concussion in 2018
