Bruce Macleod-UPDATE: Datsyuk just got off the ice after a 90-minute hard workout. He said that he'll be in the pregame skate and will decide after that. Datsyuk said that he worked out three times longer than usual in the morning skate to test himself further, to see how his legs would react to more of a game-like situation. That said, a 90-minute hard workout in the morning is a very unusual thing to do the day of a game. It seems like it's his decision now.

I think he is playin. He said he plans on playing, so I believe he is just pushin it hard just to be sure.

I agree, but Babs has said that Abs has struggled playing the wing, so if Draper is back I think it might be leino. Unless of course Abs plays center and drapes plays the wing, which he has done a lot this year.(with Drapes taking face-offs)

If a player is 35 or over when they sign a contract and they retire with time left on their contract, their cap hit will count against the cap. In Draper's case he was over 35 so the Wings would be responsible for his cap hit of 1.6 mil(approx.) for two years. To me that's a waste. Either he stays or they trade him, but I highly doubt they would trade him. Plus he has a no trade clause. So he stays.

EJ Hradek confirmed on NHL Live that Sammy is sick. I think possibly the flu since Osgood had it for a couple games against chicago.

Some of you are ridiculous. Like mentioned before, Abdelkader's goal in game one was made possible because of Leino's work behind the net. He is a SCORER playing on a line that gets about 8 minutes a night and he is playing with Maltby.
