http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=509827. Sorry if already posted. I hope the Wings can get him. Eventhough he hasn't had a very good season he still is better than Meech or Lebda.

I'll be at the game! They better fricken win. The Predators always play them tough in Nashville. I hate their damn fans too!!
-
Anyone know if there is an online feed for the game?
-
I'm in northern Alabama and have center ice through charter. I guess it just depends if the market your in has it.
-
I'll chant it when I'm at the games just for the hell of it.
-
Where in Alabama do you live? I live in athens and I have center ice. Every Wings game will be on except the games that are Nationallly televised (Versus & NBC) and the games that are on NHL network.
-
Anybody heard if EA is going to take him off the cover of NHL 10 because of this?
-
I like them, but I'm tempted to switch Cleary with Leino to help the third line be more defense oriented. Although, I hate to do it because I believe Cleary should get a shot at full-time top six minutes.
-
I wouldn't say overkill considering Delmore and Jeremy Williams will probably play in GR and we only have two other right handed shooters in Maltby and Rafalski.
-
The lines might look something like this. I really wouldn't be surprised if Axelsson could get top line minutes with the Griffins. Mattias Ritola Justin Abdelkader Dick Axelsson Ryan Oulahen Francis Pare Jeremy Williams Johan Ryno Cory Emmerton Evan McGrath Jan Mursak Kris Newbury Jamie Tardif FA Jakub Kindl Doug Janik Andy Delmore Sergei Kolosov Sebastien Piche Logan Pyett Travis Ehrhardt Daniel Larsson Thomas McCollum

Man that would suck to have constant headaches for the last five months.

If this is true about the feud, it is damn near ridiculous. This happened over 50 years ago. Get over it.
-
Ya that isn't a very appealing +/-, but you have to take in to account that most of the teams he has been on have been s***. Most of the minus years were when he was with bad tampa, florida, and anaheim teams.

. Four Brothers = good movie.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...wards_evan.html Red Wings re-sign forwards Evan McGrath, Ryan Oulahen to one-year contracts by Ansar Khan Wednesday July 22, 2009, 4:42 PM The Wings have re-signed forwards Evan McGrath and Ryan Oulahen to one-year contracts. He was Detroit's fourth-round pick (128th overall) in the 2004 entry draft. Oulahen, 24, had a career-high 31 points in 73 games during his fourth season with Grand Rapids. He was drafted by the Wings in the fifth round (164th overall) in 2003.

a little confirmation......... http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...seman_jaku.html Red Wings sign defenseman Jakub Kindl to three-year extension by Ansar Khan Thursday July 23, 2009, 4:04 PM The Red Wings have signed Jakub Kindl, their top defense prospect, to a three-year, $2.65 million extension that kicks in after his current contract expires at the end of the upcoming season. "With a player you want to keep in your system, you want to get him signed up and continue with the development,'' Wings assistant general manager Jim Nill said. "He's played two years pro (in Grand Rapids). His first year he struggled, last year he had a good bounce back year and played in the AHL All-Star game.'' Barring injuries, Kindl, 22, will spend one more season with the Griffins. He's out of minor-league options beginning in 2010-11, when the one-way contract (NHL salary only) valued at $883,000 per season kicks in. Kindl has good size (6-3, 210) and offensive skills. He's mobile, moves the puck well and has a hard shot. He is projected to be a future power-play quarterback in the NHL. He needs to improve his defensive play, however, as he's been prone to giveaways and has struggled with consistency. He had six goals and 27 assists last season for the Griffins but only one goal and five assists in 35 games after the All-Star break.

Not saying this isn't true, but where the hell does capgeek.com get their sources from? I haven't seen this reported anywhere.

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...and_says_1.html Red Wings GM Ken Holland says Marian Hossa injury didn't occur during playoffs by Ansar Khan Wednesday July 22, 2009, 4:12 PM Wings general manager Ken Holland said Marian Hossa did not injure his shoulder during the playoffs as indicated in a story in the Chicago Daily Herald. Holland said Hossa had a slightly torn rotator cuff when the Wings signed him on July 2, 2008, but it wasn't anything significant. "He was hurt before he got to us,'' Holland said. "Our doctors looked at him and we had conversations about whether to have surgery. Our doctors recommended he should have something done at some point but it's something he can play with.'' According to the Daily Herald, Hossa is contemplating surgery, which could idle him for the start of the season. Hossa signed a 12-year, $62.8 million contract with the Blackhawks on July 1.
-
Even if he was injured, that isn't an excuse to why he played so poorly. Talbot had to have shoulder surgery this offseason and look how big he played when it counted.
-
Ya I also agree. It really wasn't much of a hit at all. Just a little bump/cheap shot.
-
Actually his best year in his career was 3 years ago with the flames. The first year after he left Colorado. Career high in assists and points.

I'm not sure how much the arbitration process in the CBA has changed from the yearly 90's, but the Wings were in a similiar situation with Ray Sheppard (Not that he was going to leave the NHL or anything). The Wings didn't like the amount he was awarded so they traded (for Larionov ). I believe his rights were traded for Larionov. He was never signed by Detroit before they traded him. Now I could be wrong, and the process could have changed drastically but I'm just throwing this out there.
-
I have no idea if this one year trade rule is true or not, but apparently Anshar is confused then too. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...will_honor.html

Boynton at $1.5mil per season is a pretty good deal.
