When you factor in he's been trying to get a new arena done for 5 years now this theory sounds kind of stupid.

Zetterberg had 1 goal through 21 games during a period this year. Clowe has had 2 goals through 29. It goes to show established players can go through dry spells. Um, okay but that just helps Clowe's case. 16 goals in 58 games is over a 20 goal pace by far. I didn't include it because what a player did 7 years ago doesn't have much barring on how well he's play in the future. On average the past 4 seasons he has produced at a clip higher than Flippula. If you don't like the Flip comparsion think of him as Hudler with size and grit. I don't even like the guy I cheered when Kronwall layed the smack down on him multiple times but to dimiss him as garbage because he had a bad start to a lockout shortened season is unfair.

You know what I mean. Zetterberg had a 1 goal in 20+ games streak this year, I guess he sucks too? I know you like being the contrarian around here but quit acting dumb. Less than 20? 22, 19, 24, and 17, that's averaging 20 goals a season. Also I said producing i.e. points, not scoring goals.

Well obviously unlike Brunnstrom Clowe has an established history of producing in the NHL. Not a fan of his but I wouldn't be angry if we acquired or signed him.

Hey you won't get an argument from me. If Dats was healthy every season I think you'd see him get a lot more Hart consideration among other awards.

I'm gonna miss him if he leaves. No one is ever held accountable on this team, in this organization, in recent past. For example Legace gets run out of town after one playoff series but Howard leads us to 3 straight early exits because "he's our guy", and we "like our team".

Sounds about right. You have to give up to get. Mrazek is a former 5th round pick and Nyquist is an under 6 foot 23 year old former 4th rounder that hasn't played meaningful NHL hockey. Our 1st rounders will be around 18th overall at best. Yes, I like Mrazek and Nyquist a lot but we tend to over value them around here. If it were up to me Nyquist would be playing on Z or Pavs wing night in and night out and Mrazek would be our backup goltender (Monster freaking blows) but to other teams there's nothing to suggest they're can't miss prospects. Plenty of scrubs have led the AHL in scoring. Buffalo probably heard that exact offer and hung up.

Tired of this notion of make the playoffs and anything can happen. No, only if you have a tight-checking team that's good on special teams and has a hot goalie that comes out of no where. At least that's what's been the pattern the past decade or so.

They got bounced early last year with the exact same team that went streaking. Being a powerhouse in the regular season means nothing if you aren't built for a 7 game series. As Wings fans this should hit close to home.

Where did the Penguins go crazy? Besides a 28-30th pick they didn't give up anything of note. Joe Morrow is the only notable prospect and they're loaded with better defensive prospects anyway.

You're gasping at straws here. They're built for the playoff run give them time to gel, or don't who gives a ****. Are you using this as a basis that adding roster players at the trading deadline doesn't work? Are you forgetting Brad Stuart, Chelios, and Shanny?
