Pretty surprised to hear the news, seems pretty final. But even when the rumor broke last week, I was OK with it if he did decide to leave the NHL for KHL. His family is still in Russia ... that's gotta be hard. Wonder why his family didn't move to US for his time here, maybe if it is that bad, they can move to US for a year just for Dats to finish out his contract? Anyhow, if it is true, thanks for the awesome memories, the great interviews, the highlight reels. I don't think his cap hit will hamper us that much. Lot of young kids can be signed for cheap.
