I'd reeeaaallly love to see a win here tonight. Normally I miss the first half of Wings games due to work, but I get to watch this one in its entirety! I hope the Datsyuk domination continues.

I didn't even realize it all, so you're not alone! Big couple of games here tonight and saturday. I know the streak can't last forever but it'd be great to come out and get a big win tonight. The "weak" eastern conference suddenly doesn't look so weak anymore.

I think it is pretty awesome that these traditionally non-hockey nations have folks that play the game. And that "dance" was pretty badass as well.

I like the new lines a lot and I love the kids getting some top 6 time. All summer I talked up Jurco and said he'd break out this season. Hasn't quite happened yet, but he has looked a lot better recently and it does seem like he's on the verge of some good things. Hopefully playing with Gus and Z helps to spark all three of them. If these lines work I wonder if Babs throws Abby on the 4th line when he comes back or if he splits everyone up.

Don't forget his hybrid version of those 3. Put the puck in the net.

Sorry, but no way I'd give up the 1st round pick in what people are calling one of the deepest drafts in years for Alex Semin... let alone add a darn good prospect on top of it. I'm not against Alex Semin by any means, and I'd take him on the team if we got a good deal, but no need to give up so much for a short term, high risk gamble.

Had an idea for lines that could be interesting while Mule is out. Z-Dats-Jurco: could finally get Jurco going playing him with a sure thing, and while not exactly an enforcer or anything, he does provides some size. Tatar-Sheahan-Nyquist: I think this has been tried already this season, but Nyquist could be the spark the other two need to get going offensively. Nestasil-Helm-Abby: just a good ol fashioned third line, can chip in, eat minutes. Miller-Andersson-Glendening: Still no Cleary! Wings need to get some stuff figured out offensively, that's for sure.

Darn on both accounts. My math must have been off since I thought he'd only miss a couple weeks of the regular season. While I don't expect Mantha to get called up right away, his size and scoring touch are pretty much exactly what the Wings need up in the big club right now.

Price has a fairly extensive history of diving as well. And as evidenced last night, he's the king at initiating contact and getting calls. Anyone have a gif of the Paccioretty dive that got called? Some habs fans on HF were calling that dive against him "ridiculous".

What's the latest on Mantha? Shouldn't he be getting pretty close by now?
