The word 'deserve' in this context in now both threads uses the word in a negative context which can't be considered in Detroit's case. No, all the glory was earned on the ice surfaces across North America and being the best fanbase since forever dovetailed nicely with that story and continues to.

I think both teams have been playing some dodgy hockey. I also think the Wings are more apt to play a solid 60 tonight. 4-3 Wings. A game like tonight is where Babcock has to shine. Maybe he can be a quick turnaround artist like Izzo

I understand and like I said it's a bit more pressing w Boston and Team Cheeseburger but they weren't resting the HOF guys every night at the same time. Chelios at the time called the team "embarrassing"

Over? DId you say over? Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Yes there is a touch more urgency with Ottawa and Boston just a couple games back but as you'll recall the last month of 2002 heading into the playoffs that team couldn't find their ass with both hands either.
