In the words of Boromir in Fellowship of the Ring: "Oh look, they have a cave troll." Also, and probably more importantly, eerie how similar Kronwall's winner tonight was to Larionov's game winner in Game 3 of the 2002 Cup Final. -

I have a good feeling about tonight. It'll be close with the Wings scoring two quick ones somewhere in the third to break it open. -
GDT 2/18 GDT : Red Wings 3 at Blackhawks 2 (SO. Yes, SO!).

The Blackhawks thank you for coming and Big Chief EmptySeats and the Illinois State Police remind you do designate a driver and get home safely. Safety, like losses to the Red Wings, is no accident. -

And they constantly trot out those same tired B- and D-list 'celebrities' like Jimmy Belushi and Vince Vaughn's fat stomach at their games like it's a big night in Berwyn. -

I swear to god it takes Blackhawk fans an hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes. -
GDT 2/16 GDT : Montreal Canadiens 2 at Red Wings 0

Isn't this what we hoped for when the Wings moved back east? A game at Joe Louis vs. Montreal for position at or near the top of the conference? Makes these February games fun! -
Hockey News said he was 35. Man, hug your kids and husbands and wives today and tell 'em you love them. Our time is too short unless you are Claude Lemieux.

Fedorov deserves it. I'll await the flames.

If the Wings win in the SO that great PK effort will have stolen them a point.

HEROIC PK!!

Jets 2-7 in shootouts, PU

Well at least the streak stays alive. Detroit and Nashville are the only teams this year to not go two games without a point. And I DID say the Wings would win 5-4 in OT...

Imagine my surprise when I went to look up stats on Byfuglien and saw his Yahoo stats page and saw this, he's really let himself go.

Nasty Business-Roussel ejected for cross-check to McQuaid's throat
Jersey Wing posted a topic in General
Tonight in Boston. Dallas' Roussel cross-checks Adam McQuaid in the throat as the two seem ready to square off. There's a Vine (short video clip) of it. Five minute major. Game misconduct. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/antoine-roussel-ejected-for-cross-check-to-adam-mcquaid-s-throat-1.2952720 -
Wings win in OT as maybe Jimmeh has some rust to knock off. 5-4 I'll say with a big night from Tatar.

I think someone, to be on an all-time team should have spent at LEAST three years on a team. Brett Hull thus not eligible. Hasek marginally so.

Dammit, I hate losing to them. Now I'm going to watch part of this second game and be all unhappy.

OK, this isn't about specific trades it's somebody helping me understand something before the deals start getting made and it's just for my own edification. Richards gets cut by the Kings, nobody wants him because that's be $5.5 million against the team that signed him's cap for X amount of years. Toronto has said they want to tear things down and start again but Phil Kessel is almost un-tradeable with an astounding $8 million cap hit thru 2022. So my question is, if Toronto does to Kessel what the Kings did to Richards I know the Leafs must pay him but basically Kessel is simply priced out of the market to play in the NHL, yes? He can't in any way sit around and say screw this I want to disavow/tear up the Leafs contract can he? Kessel and guys like him are just stuck, yes? Thanks in advance.

Heading to trade deadline, can someone help me understand
Jersey Wing replied to Jersey Wing's topic in General
Thanks, for whatever reason i was running some crazy ideas through my head thinking some of these guys could actually price themselves out of playing again
