I got the NHL network when I moved out here for "free" when I ordered the Big Ten Network (Sparty On!). I'll have to order the NHL Center Ice package in the next few days. Another year of Center Ice not in hi def on Comcast. Yippee! At least the Wings will be playing at least ten times vs NYR, NYI and NJD which I'll get in hi def so I got that going for me....which is nice.

The Wings are not going to be intimidated or goaded. Sure there will be the odd fight, even the odd fight of Pavel Datsyuk teaching Cory Perry what's what. But all in all, with all the rough and tough teams of the last 20 years in the west, nothing much is going to change. The Wings are cool customers. One more point, if anyone is angry maybe direct your anger at Babcock. I seriously doubt if he didn't want Cleary they would have put any resources into him. I have no insider info, my brother doesn't know a guy who knows a guy who works at the NSA and listens to Ken Holland's phone calls (and if I was in the NSA that's what I'd spy on, NHL GM trade discussions lol) but if Babcock didn't see value in Cleary vs. whomever else on the Wings roster he'd have said so.

I didn't actually believe the Red Wings post on Facebook. I came here. I'm still a little stunned. Welcome back #11! I think this move says this. The Wings think they have enough speed and skill to win BUT the Eastern Conference IS the Eastern Conference and they're darned sure gonna need some corner and in front of the net guys who battle. Tatar is great but I'll take Cleary going into a corner for a puck in a big game in Boston or Pittsburgh.

I know a lot of people here ranked on Cleary but he did some good hard work and scored that magnificent winner in game 7 against the Ducks. How great was that goal? Ducks fans still whine about it. Fare thee well Daniel Cleary, you wore #11 at least as honorably as Mathieu Dandenault.

Yeah i watched the show on the NFL when they did this and sometimes stats or years were let's say brushed aside for other factors. I felt like LaFontaine fell into that category.

I would respectfully disagree with Andreychuk as the 4th choice in Buffalo. Now to ME as a Mt. Rushmore and the face of the franchise forever is was Waterford's Own Patty La-la-la-la-la-la-la LaFontaine. I'd put him on for sure.
