That depends on how long this particular strain of "flu" hangs around. Sidney Crosby has had the flu since last winter. I'm not a doctor though I play one on the internets, and I'd say this flu treatment requires lots of quiet room time.

At this point down 0-3 I'd actually like tonight's game to go to overtime. I'd love a spirited 4 OT game the Wings can WIN and hopefully going forward, even if not for glory this year, to change OT attitudes on the club and the fanbase. Why 4 OT's? As much as I hope, as much as I cheer, I'm a realist. We're not down 0-3 to the Rangers. 4 OT's might take the proverbial pound of flesh off the Sharks.

Comebacks all start someplace

There comes a time with every team where you have gone as far as you can go without making some changes. After watching the Sharks handily win (albeit in close games just as this year) I think we're at that point. As Red Wing fans we are blessed to have the best front office for evaluating talent and knowing what kind of players need to come and go. No doubt there will be changes and even a rise in the salary cap which could help plug a couple holes. I'll be happy to discuss who might need to come and go after my beloved Red Wings are actually eliminated though. Until then, damn the torpedos and full speed ahead with THIS crew!

I believe this -- The Sharks are playing just THAT (holding thumb and forefinger close together) much better and have earned their two game lead. I BELIEVE the Wings will come back with two monster efforts at JLA. I also believe in the old adage that it's not a series until you lose your first home game. Go Wings!!!

I think I speak for everyone when I tell the linesmen to drop the goddamned puck. EVERY faceoff somebody is getting waved like a matador at a bullfight. Just drop it already.

There is NOTHING more exciting than NHL sudden death overtime. Nothing beats the sheer excitement of a packed house screaming while the game is on a razor's edge where every play is magnified. Or not.

I know, they never did show the replay of Pavelski popping Filppula in the head twice after Howard popped him to get matching minors. I guess it's just easier for them to be sanctimonious than look at the goddamned replay

Problem #1 was finishing. That will come with timing. Keep doing what they're doing. PLEASE Keep Thornton's line out against Datsyuk Z and Homer. No panic. More hard work. They have fresh legs. The payoff will come. After tonight I'm reminded of the WCF with Colorado in 1997 after game 1. The Wings played hard and well but Roy was stellar and the Avs won. The Wings just kept playing their game and worked even harder and won games 2, 3 and 4.

Speed kills and it never slumps. The Wings will win this series.
