Even IF he's able to return let's let the Mule sit in the barn the rest of the afternoon

WOW, did you just hear Doc Emerick? "With due respect after one period the score is the Red Wings 3 and the Washington Generals nothing" ouch
-
OK, it just hit me. If you'd like I'd be happy to throw an octopus at the league office doors and leave. I'd put red and white ribbon on the legs and simply splat it on the door. My wife just said she'd post any bail and videotape it. If I don't see plentiful octopus tomorrow this plan is ON

I will contribute heavily to any fine pot we collect for. Why make money if you can't enjoy spending it. I PROMISE all of you should I ever come across Gary Bettman in my travels in NYC it WILL be impressed upon him what a f---ing douchebag he is.

I think we should take up a collection and hand out Red Wing jerseys to the good boys and girls of Phoenix as they get to the gate at JOBING.COM ARENA

Jimmy held the fort early The penalty kill shined which hasn't always been the case recently The stars are being the stars The Todd Bertuzzi chant fired up the Wings players (IMHO)

The White Castle obvious stat of the day brought to you by Red Roof Inn: The Red Wings are outscoring their opponents 3-0 in the 2nd period this playoff season

Dear Phoenix, If you're looking for sympathy you'll find it between s*** and syphilis in the dictionary. All our love, Hockeytown

I agree tactically with those cheering for the Wild. A first round matchup of the Hawks vs Vancouver offers the most peril to the Canucks. On the other hand having such a big hand in the Hawks one-and-done dynasty would be something to savor always. Despite injuries, despite scratch your head moments from this team I still think they can make a long run. So for that reason go Wild.

And maybe I was a bit sensitive over this but it was almost at some points an anti-Nicklas Lidstrom for the Norris Trophy afternoon. I've never in my life heard people nit pick Nick's game like I heard Pierre, Smellbury and Olsuck do today.

I get it now. All this talk since the great cleaving in Chicago about THE CORE. An epiphany just hit me like a lightning bolt You cannot spell THE GOLF COURSE without THE CORE

Is it Photoshop yet? I'm glad it's not Anaheim, I am. As someone who gets up at 5 AM I like the thought of an earlier game in Nashville or a 9 PM game in Phoenix. Might buy an extra overtime or two some night.

I'm gonna go to game 3 and will try to provide full coverage

Awesome, glad they're playing....again

I got tickets earlier this week (right after they came back against Boston) when I saw what a huge game it would be for them and MSG is a pretty rocking crowd. Caught the PATH over to 33rd and walked those crushing two blocks over to MSG. Yep, that was pretty much the highlite, the anticipation, because once the puck dropped they stunk outloud. For a team supposedly desperate for points they snored their way through this one. You'd think the first period shots would be like 15-4 or something vs out of it Atlanta. It was 11-10 Rags. I love Lundqvist, that guy is aces. Oh yeah, Rangers fans --sit DOWN when play is going on. This is like the third time I've noticed this. What is it with this Night of the Living Dead wandering around up and down and along the aisles during play? The Devils do what the Red Wings do in stopping people from wandering at least one direction during play but MSG is madness. I walked by to get my new baby nephew a chachki at the store and winced in horror as people were standing around eating food and drinking beer and just hanging out ignoring the game but for the casual glance at the teevee. It seems hockey has become a gathering place and not the reason some of these older 20 and young 30's go anymore. One last point before the pics, Rangers fans cannot trash Devils fans for not selling out games. I saw an easy 700-1000 empty seats last night in big blocks. Some from my iPhone's 1970's instamatic setting (Don't stare at the flash cube), some not. In those older ones you can almost see 1970's Rangers stars Brad Park and Ron Greschner and look, for Atlanta it's Pat Quinn and Eric Vail

Put your boot on their throat until you hear the death rattle. "Beware the veteran team that underachieved in the regular season" --Harry Neale

You have the best news. I choose to believe YOU

You raise an interesting question along the lines of 'can god make something so heavy even he can't lift it' thinking. Hmmmm, as they say in England a real poser.
-
Well he'll have pretty much a week off before he'd have to play again unless Mr. Gary demands the Wings start their series Monday morning for "ratings purposes"...

Blues goalie Ty Conklin on #Blackhawks’ reviewed goal: “Do we really have to make it that obvious that the league wants them in?” http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/hockey/comments/video-_its_a_goal._or_is_it/

More on Z's injury, confirmed now as an ankle. Trevor Thompson said he was limping pretty good leaving the arena last night. http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/tmr/comments/make_it_out_for_the_weekend_for_red_wings_forward_henrirk_zetterberg/

The "We can't disprove it didn't cross the line" comment is a LIE. It's more CYA for an on-ice official's blown call. Anyone with working eye sockets could plainly see it never crossed the line. That shouldn't be hard to overturn IF you're not playing CYA.
