I've got tickets (lower bowl) to the Devils and Penguins game this upcoming Friday night. I'm gonna TRY to get a sign in (and the Devils seem pretty lenient when it comes to home made signs) down at ice level for warm up with the words #87 GARY'S LIL BUTT KISSER

The NHL is sorry for any inconvenience" For the second straight year the NHL All-Star game will be without one of the game's biggest stars as Sidney Crosby has pulled out of this weekend's mid-winter classic in Montreal. Crosby, who currently sits second in league scoring with 60 points has taken the advice of Penguins' doctors and will rest injured knee over the All-Star break. Doctors had recommended that the Pens' superstar not skate for four or five days. The best way to get even with Napoloean Betteman is to make him present the big silver thing to Nick in Joe Louis Arena so Wings fans can let Gary know how we feel.

In all honesty I'd rather watch the USA women's national team play the Canadian women's national team. Those are normally close, intense games with meaning. I'm loathe to watch a 13-11 scorefest. I think Betteman realizes the all star game is pointless but rather than fixing it, he'll just insist everyone come regardless of injury even just to stand around.

Something's not adding up. He's on his way to Montreal so as not to offend the mighty Bettman even though in the press release as to why he's not playing team doctors say he shouldn't be on his skates for 4-5 days. So, it sounds like he'd miss the first game back anyways. Me smells a suck up job

From now on, instead of stuffing the ballot for your favorite Wings players, make sure to vote in injured or worn down opponents players. Let's make it a Chicago sweep next year shall we?

I'd say the playoffs (Playoffs, Playoffs, you're taking about....PLAYOFFS?!?!) for two reasons: 1) You never know, that last regular season game could have been rendered meaningless by playoff slotting and some of the big guns could be resting. 2) The intensity and electricity of the Joe come playoff time IS all that.
