Detroit RW Marian Hossa missed part of the third period after colliding with Chicago LW Andrew Ladd. "It's not too serious," Hossa said. ...

Can you imagine how boring a message board would be without speculation??? It might go something like this.... Post 1... The wings won today! Post 2.... Yep!! Post 3.....YAY!!!
-
Need to add one more. And its probably the one thing that turned around the Ducks series. Putting Franzen, Hossa, and Flip together for Game 4!!! It really did turn the tide at that point in time. Now, he didn't keep them together for the entire series, but what magic they provided in game 4!!!

Dude, Jake.....chill out. You talk about others reading comprehension, but you are the one that seems like you are having difficulty with the comprehension. This guy said nothing about Homer. Babs switch other folks up there with Hoss and Dats, and they still did nothing. So it is more than just Homer. Ok, I used the word Homer.....is this where you go off on me and tell me how much he sucks.....even though I said nothing about him adding anything to that line?? The guys point was that Dats and Hoss don't play well together (REGARDLESS OF WHO IS ON THE OTHER WING)......Get it??? So you can stop bashing everyone for Homer, because no one here is saying he should be on a line with Hoss and Dats. Got it? Wow dude, get a grip!

Wow, dude you are ugly!!!! Just kidding.. Nice work!

I hope you are right, but I do believe that this Hawks team has grown up really fast since the All-Star break. They are gonna be much more difficult than I think everyone believes. To be honest, I think they are as tough a matchup as we will face. I think they are tougher than the pens. IMO. Based on what I have seen in the PO's at least. Now, maybe some of that is who they have matched up against (hard to tell), but they definately look much tougher to me.

I will lose major respect for Chicago fans if

I guess wings fan could chant back with "Thanks 4 Obama" Obviously with sarcasm. -
Wings 3-1 or 5-2. cannot make up my mind. Dats has 2 goals though.

Perry and Pronger eat corn on the cobb through a Picket Fence!!!!!

Now that would be cool!!!! LOL. I do see Pavs breaking out this game. Not sure why, but I just feel it.

Huds was busy setting up Franzen for our only goal. Huds isn't the problem, as he has been productive. I do agree with you about cleary, and he needs to stop trying to clean the ice with his uniform. As for leaving it the way it was for game 4 and 5, that is impossible with Kopecky being injured. We could leave it the way it was for game 5, but not game 4. I liked the way Abdelkader played in game 5, was not so crazy about him in game 6.

IMO what we saw in game 6 was more about effort than anything. Because Raffy actually looked pretty good, and he and Z were just barely off from giving the wings an early goal. JMO

Whether or not you like Mitch Albom (which obviously you do not) doesn't matter. What does, is the fact he is spot on. Homer and Dats have not been fine in this series. Now, maybe they will be, but to this point they haven't done much of anything. Now, Dats has played ok, but you would expect more than 2 assists (one of which was a secondary empty net assist) out of a Hart tropy finalist. Know what I mean? It is time for them to step it up, there is no tomorrow for this team.

to score. Just wondering, does anyone else see Maltby out there and go... Hmmm, guess we arent' gonna score on this shift. Just saying, I would love to at least feel like that 4th line has some chance of scoring. I really think it is time to replace Malts on that line. As much as I love the old guys, he just isn't getting it done.
-
Really? Crap? Well Datsyuk has been taken away, and the wings still have a pretty good shot at advancing to the finals. Just sayin....
-
Now, I not saying game 7 is the time to change things, but it is going to have to be addressed at some point. I just wonder why you bring a guy up, he scores 9 points in 13 games, and doesn't get a chance. What more does a guy have to do to prove he is ready? Just sayin.
-
This was a very poor effort to say the least. While the Ducks stepped up their intensity, the wings didn't match it until it was too late. I do think you will see a more driven wings team in Game 7. Wings take game 7..... Wings 3 Ducks 1 Datty finally gets on the board.

It has everything to do with what the OP was talking about. I believe his question was.....What would you do if you were ken holland? Correct? So, here is what I would do......Nothing right now, I wouldn't even be thinking about it yet until the playoffs played out. Lot's can happen in the playoffs that might determine my moves for next season. For example. Someone has career ending injury. Therefore, if I was Kenny, I would be waiting until the offseason to determine what I would do. I just answered the question, that is all. I did not trash the OP as some did.

Playoffs v regular season. Hello apples, I would like you to meet oranges. I doubt you could get ONE hockey analyst to side with you on who they would rather have on their roster for the playoffs. You could make the argument that the Mule has been THE most valuable/clutch forward for the wings in the last two years. Sorry, but Huds wouldn't even be in the argument for top 4 on this team. I hate to say it, but this argument has probably been settled. Love both guys, but Mule ( and wings management obviously agrees) has proven to be the more valuable piece to the puzzle. Again, not saying I don't like huds, and I would hate to lose him.....but it is pretty obvious who needed to be signed first. Looks like the wings made the right choice. Again.
-
Still kidding ourselves ehh? That's two years in a row the mule has been mr. clutch. NUFF SAID!! And your statement about getting a true power forward, looks so assinine now it's almost embarassing. So tell me, which power forward could we get that would put up 20 goals in his last 25 playoff games? Just curious.

Yes they were asked different questions, but Crosby has a problem giving credit to anyone else. Do you not remember how arrogant he was when we played them in the finals last year? He was not willing to give one bit of credit to the wings, instead saying that it was the Pens not playing up to their potential. Now, I understand how this game works, but it is also what seperates men sometimes. Have you ever noticed that most of the wings players are always complimenting their opponents? You can tell Crosby has a really difficult time doing this. It reminds me of that one kid is school who had everything, and was given everything.

Not sure if many folks have been watching, but it seems to me the Hawks have done much growing up since the regular season. For some reason, they just seem like a different team. They sure have quite a bit of depth. At least it seems that way in the playoffs. Maybe its just their matchups, but they are the one team that kinda scares me a little. With that said, I do like our chances against anyone. Also.....Lets get there first, we still have a series to try to win.

For some reason, most of the Huds over Franzen folks have disappeared into the woodwork. Weird. LOL
