i like having a tough guy with the twins, but i feel reuniting the zDh line is way more useful to spread the talent. bertuzzi can make some things happen on his own on weaker lines while i believe homer can not.

its no question that the wings were out of gas, they were beaten to a bloody pulp by the time game 7 was here. but the officiating is to blame. if you honestly don't believe that there was a double standard when it came to late hits and interference (not to mention to many men on the ice) then your a homer penguins fan. the wings are good enough to play through pentaly trouble, but the thing was all the late hits and interference(some of which were the most violent head checks sticks to the face and ribs and limbs) were what torn everyone apart and took the energy out of everyone. i seriously fear for some of our all stars long term future after seeing the abuse the refs allowed. some of them im sure still have sore backs or tweeked wrists from all the bull s***.

i would definitely go with mule. you got him locked here for a while, mule is a well known nickname alot of people would notice, and it johan's lookin to be a playoff hero for a while.

jason williams no doubt will be someone who puts 20 goals in the net for the wings. look what chi town paid glass bones kopecky. this is a pretty good deal. and im not saying williams will be our next superstar, he is what he is. he will be here for a year, earn his money on production, and let us get by a year untill we are in a better cap situation. i feel the sad truth that everyone needs to come to realize is that you can't be the number 1 cup contender every year to be a long term successful hockey team in the cap world. some years you need to sit the free agency frenzy out and wait for the better hand. i have all faith in the one that is called holland.

if every race is one in the same, and were all equal, then what ever race is or isn't on the team shouldn't matter in the first place. i swear to god if affirmative action takes place in hockey i will kill who ever starts it myself.

no osgood last post season = red wings get beat by anaheim second round by far the biggest steal in goaltending in the league when you look at the money he is making. rough regular season, no doubt, but did he totally redeem him self? you bet.

just a funny fact but no joke norm maracle is rated the same as chris osgood in nhl 2009. he is in the european leagues apparently.

hossa can get more than 6 million on any other team in the league. 4 million is a insult like others have said, and anything more than 4 screws the wings over. bye hossa, have a good career else where. you deserve more money, so go ahead and get it. in case all of you forgot, we won the cup with out him, even against him in the finals. not to mention WITH him, he didn't produce when it counted, and we lost. he is a great player, but in a cap world you can only have so many. I rather keep our dynasty in tact with the cap space and grab a few role players on the side as well. like it was said when we signed him, its a once in a lifetime line up in a cap world and he probably would just be a one year thing. oh well. he deserves more, and we don't need him.

i am not trying to knock oz as our number 1 in any way... but just a what if... what if howard just tears it up out of nowhere and plays great? i just feel like everyone has completely given up on him but you never know what can happen. his ahl stats arn't pretty but maybe as we speak he is training his ass off knowing his chance in the nhl is finally coming. i would like to see what this kids got. i have faith in osgood if he bombs any way.

Filpula is better than hudler overall, but to think hudler isn't worth more than million like some have mentioned is ludacris. hudler is worth easily 2 million. even 2.5. he isn't going anywhere because he won't be getting a fat contract around the league from anyone and he is a important part of this team for the amount of money he will end up making. The real problem i feel is that we just have to many playmakers like flip and huds and no snipers.

how about hudler, knuble, and shanny and let hossa and sammy walk. of course assuming the price range is around the range you projected.

i think if we have learned any thing this playoffs it is this. the defensemen infront of the net is allowed to punch/slash/kick/elbow/slewfoot/stomp/interfere/hook as much as he wants. there will be no call. which is a very effective tool in the playoffs. our D are great in the opposing end, but why not fill the 3rd line with some nastiness. i don't care who, but i would love a gill, pronger, eager type defensemen. it is just the facts. you are allowed to injure anyone you want in front of the net. why not do it?? their style comes cheap and they get the job done.

i am sure holland is counting on pain train coming back. but what if he doesn't? i would bet anything if he was healthy we would of won the cup. we were so close already, and lilja is our only big body on the blue, the only real shot blocker/crease clearer. if lilja doesn't recover this needs to be addressed and i believe he will.

i agree we need more pure goal scorers, but will hossa do that in the playoffs? no use having a goal scorer who doesn't make it happen when it matters most.

well if that was true then the red wings should of had about 10 goals every game through out the playoffs. they wont call it in the playoffs just like they didn't last run. and the run before that. and the run before that......

no huge roster changes, just a player maybe two to get the dirty work done.

i know you hate all these players but those were just the 3 that came to my head first. their just examples of their type. rather than lebda, wouldn't you rather have a guy who can injure the star players on the other team? seriously, its just playoff hockey. nhl has proven this.

in this playoff run, not to mention various regular season games, how many times have all of you seen the wings get ahead by a safe score early only to be slashed, headhunted, and just any other form of cheapshoted the rest of the game??? it is insane how this is going on. there is a rule that suspends fight instigators in the last five minutes of the game, (although malkin is exempt) but there is nothing in place for the bulls*** minor pentalies at the end of the game. game 5 of the finals for example when pens were head checking kronwall late, taking baseball swings at dats injured foot, and endless amounts of other bulls*** there was no more than a few 2 minute minors give to a game that was already out of reach any way. why wouldn't every team that goes down in a game during a series take out a few stars for the rest of the series?? there are no consequences!! i just would like to know if anyone else has noticed this and if there has been media talk about this chaos going on.
