Your post made me think of Drama.

Top 10 reasons Wings will win

Screw the sucker punch, Ozzie would do it with Pronger fully aware and facing him. Mighty Midget go!

    Niedermayer cheap shot and brawl

None of the Wings have complained about the physicality of the Ducks. Go away, idiot.

    What Game 7 Means....

The Wings have never seen any pressure in any form before in a semi-final. Oh, wait, wasn't there that time when we won the Stanley Cup...? Saying that the "pressure is on" the Wings is retarded; this team thrives in pressure situations.

    What Game 7 Means....

Neidermayer did a bad thing when he picked a fight with Pavel. Expect a clinic tonight on "why you don't f*** with #13". Babcock had words with Dats as well, so expect one vengeful Russian putting pucks on Hiller tonight. Neidermayer woke a sleeping giant, and the Ducks are going to get stepped on.

    Pittsburgh's ANGELIC game 7 performance

Until he learns how to go both ways, in my mind he's not a complete player. Saying he's better than AO, who is horrible at D, isn't really saying much, IMO. Yes, they're both good at scoring and setting up teammates, but they can't play D to save their lives.

TBH I would rather lose to Chicago than lose to Anaheim. Hell, I would rather lose to Columbus than lose to Anaheim.

    So blackhawks advance

I can't belive you said this with a straight face. Chicago's defense is crap compared to Anaheim (as much as I hate to admit it, Pronger et al have some of the best defensemen in the league). Oh good for you, you faced two teams that had next to nothing for defense that you blew through with good forwards (and you do have good forwards), but your defense and Khabibulin were practically a sieve, with how bad Calgary and Vancouver's forwards played. All the comebacks that the media loves to praise Chicago for means that you're screwed against a Detroit team who has multiple Selke finalists (and even a couple winners ) and the best defenseman in the entire league. How many Norris trophies does your defense have? Ah, right. That's what I thought.

    Ryan Getzlaf

That's a bit too much of the irate juice there, Sparky. Time to lay off the offensive language. Call them no-skill ****** bags or something, but calling them "******* homos" is a bit past the line.

    Game 7 Sign Ideas?

Guess it's just funny to nerds that know specific rule numbers and sub-sections of rules.

    Game 7 Sign Ideas?

After talking to a couple friends, they think it's too obscure. Maybe something more along the lines of, "Hey Stripes, what does rule 47.22 say?" Still obscure, but a bit less so than just having "47.22" on a sign.

Game 6 Impact: Was it Inspiration or Frustration?

Yeah, 90% of Californians don't even understand the game.

When the Pens are playing in an elimination game.

Game 6 Impact: Was it Inspiration or Frustration?

Yeah, this. Wings come out firing on all cylinders, especially being back on non-s***ty ice. (Is anyone else shocked at how horrible the Honda Center's ice is? I mean, I know it's in CA, but c'mon, modern technology...?)

    Game 7 Sign Ideas?

Except not everyone goes to the game and they don't always show that stuff on TV. I never saw it, and I watched the whole game. They may show it on FSD, though.

The official Pavel Datsyuk apology thread.

"Hey, what happens if we don't let Datsyuk dangle?" "Uh, he can't produce?" What happens when you stick Pronger/Neidermayer on Dats like glue? This is really a surprise to you guys? He can still pass and make plays, but a lot of his fantastic play that most people notice comes from his dangle play.

    "47.22" IMO

The argument isn't that your DVR is lying, it's that you're either 1) misinterpreting the data you've taken in, 2) that you're biased (as we all are) and reporting what you saw incorrectly due to that bias, or 3) that your definition of a sucker punch is different than other's. Presenting your argument as you have (and judging by your biased posts and posting name), it's logically correct for most posters here to assume you're a troll who's lucky to have two brain cells to rub together.

To the people saying crap about "juju": Use your rational brain. Nothing we say or do has any effect on what the team does tonight. None of us have any "juju" effect on whether Dats or Z play their best, nor do we have any effect on whether Hossa puts up 1 point or 6000. Logic is highly underrated when it comes to sports; the Ducks are down in the series and their main players are exhausted. Getzlaf has been playing like s*** in the past two games. It's obvious the amount of time that he's played thus far in the playoffs is getting to him. Whether we win tonight or in game 7, the series is ours. There's no way that a team as experienced as ours comes out and doesn't show up when they can see the end of the tunnel. So kindly shut up about "juju" nonsense and use some logic; you have a brain with higher intellectual functions for a reason. Use what you've been given instead of reverting back to the cattle-sacrificing primitives we've grown past.

Why do you like the Red Wings?

My dad was born and raised in the Detroit area. Both he and my mom moved to the suburbs of Chicago a little before I was born, but my dad has always loved the Wings, Lions, and Tigers, despite also watching the Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks (and now that they're out here on the left coast, the Mariners and Seahawks). I grew up skating as soon as I could walk (since my dad grew up playing hockey as well, and played in college), and started playing hockey at 5. My dad got me a Hawks jersey, but I remember that I wanted nothing to do with it; I wanted to be a Wings fan like my dad. I think they may still have that Hawks sweater somewhere in the house, but it's never been worn. So it started because my dad loved the team, but as I grew up watching Stevie Y and the Russian five, the Wings became my team. It certainly helped that we often drove to the Detroit area to visit my grandmother and other parts of my dad's family that still live there, and they're all Wings fans. My friends on my hockey team sometimes gave me a hard time for being the only Wings fan (I had a red helmet when they all had white or black), but I had my team and I wouldn't give them up. Going to see the Hawks/Wings games as a Wings fan in the United Center (when it first opened) was amazing, and still one of the best memories of sports in Chicago (up there with the Winter Classic).

WCSF GAME 6 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Ducks 2

5-1 Wings, Lids/Dats/Hossa/Zata x2, one being empty-netter. Bring on the Hawks.

    So blackhawks advance

It'll probably gonna go 7 games against the Hawks, but we'll edge them out. We're the deeper team with more experience and more talent (though as a team they're very talented compared to most). As long as we keep the fire going like we've had in the past two games, it should be a good series for us. Oh, and getting Rafalski back will be huge.
  23. Theophany

    5/11 Playoff GDT

Vancouver was nowhere near as deep as Chicago was, talent-wise. Having the best goalie in the NHL doesn't really do you any good if the rest of your team can't do crap.
  24. Theophany

    5/11 Playoff GDT

It's pretty ridiculous; the Hawks are literally the second scariest team behind the Wings in the playoffs. Losing to the Hawks isn't anything to be ashamed of--they're going to be a dominant force in the West for years to come.

    5/11 Playoff GDT

You missed one of the best first-round series ever this year vs the Celtics. Multiple OT games. Anyone else think that the Hawks/Wings series will completely eclipse a series against whoever comes from the East?
