I hear that too, but we have seen him kick endless tires. Yes its nice to see him ramping it up but I am going to wait until the smoke clears here and we see whats happening....Im hopeful, obviously want the best but he has some extra pressure yet again noone expected.

I have just read the last few pages here to get "up to date", and folks to say the least I am nervous as frick going forward. Kenny has a lot of work to do this season and he reminds me of that kid who waits until the morning of an exam to study outside the class for a half hour before he goes in to write it.

Datsyuk was probably the same size as Gus when he came in, and within a few seasons was pretty jacked. So here's hoping Gus follows suit, considering his age it seems less likely though.

McDavid is point machine BUT he missed a ton of games and the team didn't win sh*t all so I don't agree with him making the cut-even though its obvious why...As for Larkin he wasn't even close to keeping pace the second half, right after that damned video was released of DBoss that was all.

This...and you know what good for the Leafs, it's been a long hard road for them. They have done some great things, adding Shanny & babs, losing kessel and dion the pylon was huge, and now getting the 1st pick. There is still a lot of work to be done but they have put the pieces in the right to start and those gentlemen are making this a club again.

After watching through all of the wings exit interviews it is more then clear Blash created a horrible problem this past year. Every player seemed unhappy about how they were utilized, also on their own performance but Tatar mentioned how they never gained chemistry because Blash would shuffle too much. I seriously do not know how many times I said this season that he wasn't letting any line get any chemistry because he changed his lines a dozen times in one game. .....Mantha should have played vs Tampa from the start of game 1. For the lone reason of his size in front of Bishop was enough to bring him up.

I don't believe that for a second. There has been comparisons over Holland and Yzerman in almost every thread since Thursday, I suggest you look at what Yzerman has actually "built" in Tampa vs what Holland has in Detroit.

Of course this is brought up now. When Holland was asked that question he had the reputation one of of best GM's in hockey and lead a dynasty. I remember when it was time for Yzerman to either become our GM or move on and it just wasn't time for Stevie yet here. Hindsight is 20/20 but would have a super green Yzerman been able to weather the storm more then Holland?

You can tell he's done. There is zero chance Dats comes back for another year, it's been on his face all season. For example this season more then ever Datsyuk seemed to be annoyed at the amount of cheap shots, trips, hooks etc that he took that were non calls-also thats a reason he was on his a** this year more then ever, he looked deflated by the end of the season. Now it'll be up to Kenny to not only find that special taker for the ghost contract but find a suitable replacement for the magic man. This is hardly the days of Lidstrom leaving while we have Dats & Z in their primes--------->we have an aging*ed Zetterberg, a future (hopeful) star in Larkin, two very inconsistent scorers in Tatar & Nyquist plus a slew of role players that can't counted on for much more then 10 goals. We haven't even gotten to the defence yet...Kenny has a make it or break it offseason, I hope he has the magic in him to get it done somehow.

I agree Z should play less. I also could let Jurco go easily, but Pulks need a little more of a chance. That was all based on the assumption that Holland does nothing. I also don't see us loosing Dats and Blash not putting Z on line 1.

​We outplayed the bolts for one game, game 3. That's it. So many of our shots were shot directly at Bishop while the bolts seem to rebound from our pressure with better quality chances. ​ What I saw this season was a very frustrating team to watch, due to their obvious inconsistent play and well sometimes it looked like they lacked the will to even be out there. Datsyuk I felt bad for all season, he fell down more times then I can even understand, he was not the same Datsyuk, not even close. Zetterberg we all know has very little gas left in that tank of his unfortunately but he isn't going anywhere so hopefully he can groom these young guns that will all no doubt be playing. I see Holland doing nothing at all. I have to agree that the most likely outcome is back to their usual lack luster play, bone head give aways at the very worst times to the very worst players etc...BUT I couldn't help but think at some point this year they have to put two of these games back to back-I mean theyve only played this good twice that Ive seen but hopefully they keep it going.

I broke out the jerseys for this game so everyone Im making watch at work with me tonight has one to route for the home team! Goes without saying this is a huge game, if they lose I will be back later with the torches...LGW
