I don't think he needs to sit. E needs to sit and Kronwall needs to play less. Save him for the PP concentrate on offense -

The problems started as soon as 55-52 touched the ice -
3 major reasons for the low ratings... Michigan Ohio State and Notre Dame. Shame on the NHL for not putting this game on at night.

I wouldn't mind spending a 3rd or a 4th on him. He's an abrasive forward with offensive upside.

Absolutely 65 is a D man that you can build around. Shultz while very talented offensively is the kind of guy that's added to your roster later

The thing about Smith was he always had some trouble in his own end. He has the speed to make up for it. 7 points in 8 games I want to see more. The first unit in the PP is abysmal right now. Throw him out there.

This reminds me of when the team transitioned away from Yzerman Shanahan and others. They played Datsyuk and Zetterberg more and success resulted. -
Smitty has been outstanding as of late. Needs to continue to play that 200 foot game.

E should be no where near this team when Quincey comes back. I like the Smith Green pairing a lot. Dekeyer can play with Quincey and yes stick Kronwall on the third pair with Marchenko. They will be a lot better off.

Green has 15 points in 33 games. 2 assists today. He is fine. Needs more time with Smith, who by the way has 7 points in his last 8. Meantime 55 and 52 are allowed to suck up ice time and not produce a thing.

I think the ice time of the Dmen says a lot about what's about to happen with this team. 65-47 led today. 52 was the low man do to him being awful. 27 is on his way back. Will Blashill actually sit a core get on this squad of the past? I gotta think Balsh is seeing the writing on the wall as far as the vets-rookie dynamic is concerned. More 21, 15, 71, 2, 25, less 13, 55, abd 52.
