Did my ears play tricks on me, or did the refs originally call Megan's hooking penalty on Detroit, #9? Was finishing up in the workshop, listening to the radio, and I swear that's what the ref said. Ken Kal and Paul Woods were even kind of having fun with the call. I'm surprised no one mentioned it on here. Starting to wonder if I'm imagining stuff again, or is it just a Senior/Vodka moment?

He was out there for a few shifts. As for did he play? He wasn't very noticeable. Pretty invisible for the whole game. He must have taken Mantha's spot of being unnoticeable, tonight.

I'm okay with Ras sitting out a game in the press box. It might do him some good to watch a game in real time, and see if he can figure out what he's not doing right. Sadly, there's not enough room in the press box to sit half the team, and just use an area beer league team to fill out our roster. Anyway, Vanek finally finds the net, one of the D-kids gets one on the PP, and Lil' Bert knocks home a rebound for the winner in OT. Also of note, Tatar and Nyquist drop the gloves, they both lose.

Those forward lines look a little tilted towards their side, but the backend seems pretty close to a push. Just goes to show how bad The Leafs D is. Also, I hope someone kicks Mantha's puppy before the game and tells him to do something about it. He's looked like he's just skating around for the exercise in the games that I've seen so far. Time for him to be a big, strong, power forward, with pretty hands. Can't wait to try out my new black chair. I think I'll wear some red slacks tonight, so that I stick out enough. Probably from an accountants view, yes it does. They'll be able to write off a good deal of the costs for improvements. They wouldn't get any tax advantages in lowering ticket prices. And, the problem isn't with unsold seats. It's that no one is buying them on the resale market. All of those empty seats are already sold, it's just getting someone to sit their ass in them. It also doesn't help that all of those empty seats around center ice are part of the clubs that have unlimited food and drinks, right down the portal, 15 feet from the arena seats. Did I forget to mention the leather couches, and TV's everywhere you look? It's like they took The Olympia Club, and then built 3 of them, The Players, West, and East, and they wonder why the arena seats are empty. It was like that all last year. I can't imagine anything has changed since then. I missed the preseason, and the home opener, because I spent a little bit longer than planned, sailing home from training camp, but I'm expecting to see more of the same Thursday night against Tarranna. Maybe some Leafs fans will have sprung for some good seats, and actually make the place look full for a change. Wouldn't it be easier to just project hologram images of people in the stands to make it look full?

Definitely The Wings of the last few years. At least the 70's teams had 4-5 fights a night to keep the crowd entertained. This team is about as exciting as ice dancing. And with a lot less contact involved.

I have a feeling that this has more to do with Mrs. Lisa Yzerman choosing to live in Detroit, year round, than anything. Now that all of their girls are out of highschool, and out on their own, she doesn't want to stay in their 9000 sq. ft. house all alone. He wouldn't be the first person to choose his family over his career. And it's not like he needs the money from his GM job. And maybe he realizes that he's never going to win the big enchiladas with Tampa, so he's slowly bowing out gracefully. Just my .02.

Hockey Guy needs to stop trying to do 10 videos about nothing a day, and do 1 or 2 well researched videos instead. If that many. I started watching for a while, but he was so wrong, so often, that it was just agonizing to watch anymore. If it's not a team that he follows, he seems pretty clueless, but that doesn't stop him from plodding on and just using alternative facts for what he doesn't know, and then if called out in the comments, he gets all pissy about someone simply correcting him. He did a "History of The Red Wings" video a few months ago, that was so factually inaccurate that when I picked apart his errors, he started deleting my comments. He was so whiny, I thought he was going to start throwing sand. I'm surprised he didn't block me, but then again, I pretty much stopped watching after that anyway. If you're going to make videos, and try to make a living off of doing it, you better damn well have your facts straight. And if you don't, at least grow some thicker skin. Probably a soccer fan.

Vladdy would have been 37 at the end of the 03-04 season, so, 38 coming out of the lockout. I'm not even sure if he would have still been playing at that point. And if he did, I'm sure that he wouldn't be making Lidstrom money.

Why are you trying to make hockey more like soccer/football/futbal? Hasn't The NHL been pussified enough? The only thing I'd like to see in common with the 2 sports is more Hooliganism by the fans.

"I've been hearing". "People are saying". Sounds like the same sources. And by that, I mean, people pulling words out of their asses. I'll believe Zetterberg is done when he plays zero games this year. Until then, writers gonna write.

Seems pretty high for someone who isn't homegrown talent. Seriously though, pretty good deal to see what kind of player that he decides to become. If he continues to progress, those numbers will be likely to almost double, in his next contract. Of course, that also gives us the chance to see if he continues to take weeks off at a time, and becomes the "Lazy, and Sucks", whipping boy, which would then make him great as trade material. Because every team wants someone who is lazy, and sucks.
