I don't know much about Blashill, other than the Griffins seem to be unable to lose most nights... so he's obviously great with AHL talent and systems. Dunno about NHL, but he would probably be a good fit in Motown. No. Just NO, to Hitchcock. He ruins players by grinding them down and turns to goonery when other coaching techniques fail. He has a great hockey mind, but he's not the kind of person I would like to see behind the Wings bench... at all. I will be really sad if they hire him. Krispy Kreme will be very happy, however. As for Babs, I loved his tenure in Detroit - no one looks more like a damned NHL coach than our Babs!! But it's time they parted ways, and actually seems like it might have been mutual. Enjoy the paycheck and losing, sir. I salute you!

He'd be following no less than Scotty Bowman as bench boss in Buffalo. Could be interesting! Personally, I expect Babs to be in Detroit again next season.

I was mad at TB when they won the round over us, I just didn't like the crying and whining from their coach. And yes, I was mad because Wings HAD the series in the bag, and then let it go. A great team finds a way to win. The Wings didn't quite have it together (again) in the playoffs. Makes me sad, but there it is, can't change anything about it. TB should have a massive chip on their collective shoulders, since Montreal swept them last season, round one. Bolts were missing Bishop, who got injured... it was tough to watch. Now that they are healthy, I expect them to win vs. the Habs, assuming Stamkos gets back on track and stays there. While I was not happy with TB moving on and not us, now I want them to win this round. That way it's more evident that the better team did advance, and we can feel better about losing to them. Weird logic, I know.

Interesting that the NBC announcers cannot go two sentences without mentioning the Wings. Miss us yet?

NBC has spent a ton of money for preview production and stories about various Bolts... it's pretty clear who is 'supposed' to move on. I hope the Wings ruin their party, I really do!
