Three things: Jimmy is honest and admitted (post-game) that he cheated on the GWG and he owned it - made me think very highly of him, not that I thought he played badly. He denied that it hit anyone, just said he should have had it. Smith should be packing up smelly hockey gear, loading the bus, and apologizing profusely to everyone else on the team for a long time to come. Pavel Datsyuk is the most amazing player in the NHL. He is the man, playing in pain, and still better than the majority of other players on the ice. On to Carolina and a solid win, dear Wings. I pray one day you will make the playoffs without costing me more grey hairs and all of my remaining fingernails. But, I will take it!

I have to agree with this. Yzerman skated on one leg. Lead. Or do not. I must say Dats reminds me of another perfectionist (see my avatar) who sometimes believed he would be ineffective if not 100%+ perfect. Not true, except in their minds. 80% of these players with their intangible talent is worth more than others who are 100% healthy. Miller is my hero.

Wings will win, because I am going to have to miss the game today. I left explicit instructions for Gus Gus and Pookie to light up Bishop (Goalie Giagantor). The other three Wings who score will be Tater, Tinky, and Big E, just because that would be cool. D shows up and shuts down Stamkos - don't laugh, it could happen!! It's my Wings wall calendar. I just realized that Mule was Mr. March. I flipped it to April, in a vain attempt to change our mojo this weekend. April is Ericsson, so I am not promising anything.
