Game stars: Z is #1, Howie is #2. Gus Gus should have been #3, but it was given to Anderson. Someone can explain to me why the losing goalie usually gets a game star when the Wings play. It's not like we out-shot them or challenged him, not by any stretch of the imagination. I just always find that odd, that our goalies don't get game stars for losing. No Shoot Out gets Star #3 from me.

Terrible. What really makes me sad is that I think if the situation had been reversed and the Wings had a 2 on 1 on Neuvirth, the Wings would still not manage to score.

Evidently, we cannot score or win without Weiss on Ice.

If looking at 2015 January and February's schedule doesn't sober them up and make then realize they NEED to get points in these remaining home games in December, it's going to get really ugly.

Hope the guys play up to this team and don't coast. We need to maintain the excellent play standards and get us some more points! Fridays suck when you have to work, but if I have to -- so do the Wings. LGW!!

He's a hockey player, I didn't expect him to be politically correct and informed - some of those guys live and breathe hockey from the time they can balance on skates as toddlers. He might be one of them. I feel sort of bad that he got embarrassed (if in fact this did embarrass him). On the other hand, he might have tried googling Mandela before the game, since it was a tribute night for the great man. I bet I could ask a random sample of the professional consultants I work with about Nelson Mandela and they might not know who he was, either.
