Nick Lidstrom simply reeks of class and decency. We were extremely fortunate to have him on this team for two decades. Best of everything, Captain. You really were perfect.

It offended me, as well, that Weber and the Pred-no-necks thought attacking Hank in that manner was fine and dandy. However, justice was served and they disappeared off the playoff radar rather ignominiously. Hank and Weber are grown men... well, Hank is, anyway. If they can work it out, then I say go with what makes the team better. If that means Weber, then fine. But don't break the bank on him. While we need D, I am not sure he's Wing material. Convince me.

not especially, it's hard to pick out one that's ripe -- they don't taste good, if not perfectly ripe. The person below me bought something today that made them happy!

Elliefant!! possum or raccoon? I hate them both.
-
that may be one of the most awesome clips I've ever seen. Rock on, Captain!!

Can't quote a quote here, but what Chiarelli said.

Let it go. I am big believer in kharma and things happening to evil people so they get what they deserve, ultimately. Sometimes, you just have to wait and watch! facial hair or no facial hair (ladies, I mean on the men folk)

This must never happen. I am bigger than Kenny Holland. I will personally destroy him. The person below me is likes some other sport besides hockey.
-
not enough of either, but maybe if I had more money, love would find me? big ears or big nose?
-
ew, no? Maybe I am not susceptible since I don't wear closed shoes most of the year? Flip flops and sandals here! The person below me has gotten a puck at a hockey game...
-
Maybe he's going to run for political office. That consistency thing in goal? A little harder than it looked, eh? See ya!!
-
I miss them both... I was just saying the other night how much I miss Gary Thorne, in particular. I was in a minority of fans who didn't mind ESPN coverage of hockey. Especially since it was all we could get here, broadcast wise.

I count 46. I thought I was bad, with five jerseys and 11 Wings t-shirts.

It is hard to believe it's been a decade, but it's still sweet. Watching Waahhhh get chased from the arena where Dom was in goal should have erased any and all doubts as to who was supreme in the nets.
-
Yes, he did. I never second guess these players when the fire is gone and they're finished. I am sorry he ended his run with an injury and a first round exit, but that probably didn't figure into his ultimate decision. The person below me is tired of being tired.

...in bed. You know you are supposed to add that to the end of any fortune cookie fortune, right? "There is a true and sincere friendship between you and your friends"... in bed. "The joyfulness of a man prolongeth his days"...in bed. You get the picture. The person below me is supposed to be working, but is too distracted by the departure of St. Nick.

Well, since we're losing Stu, as well, we have Kronner for D. That's it. I am concerned, much as I love the Viking (and Ian)

Provolone, but not the smoked kind. Icky. Nick or Stevie?

Kopitar for the win! Nice clip, Harold, thanks! Wondering why Fatso was second star of this game? -

well, there's one good thing about today. Good for the Kings, I hate NJ. -
This announcement makes me extraordinarily sad. I feel lucky to have watched one of the greats play for the Red Wings. But it is sad to see Nick go, for sure, even though we knew it would happen.

I have tackled projects I have never done before, a lot. I draw the line at plumbing and some electrical, though. cold hands or cold feet?
-
True. He's a Nebraska fan, too. They are also rather Wing-like, in a way. They can be stellar... or not, depending on a few factors we as fans can do nothing about. It is hard to be disappointed, but he's been a Packer's fan since he was 5 years old, and proudly wears a red "N" tattoo'ed on his shoulder. Not much would dissuade him from his life-long obsession with both teams. I guess it was less painful to those who didn't pay tons of money for a plane ticket and hotel, and then watch the team lose from expensive seats at his first time ever to see a game at Lambeau Field.

I am not a football fan, but my trainer at the gym went to the playoff game last season in Green Bay. He was definitely in pain, after that game. He says he is going to keep going, until they win in front of him.
