I still cry over a friend who died suddenly 11 years ago, even today, I tear up thinking about him. I don't even cry over my parents anymore, but I do when I think about Garey. Did you ever wish you were the opposite gender?
-
heh~ Kind of mean, but funny.
-
I agree, but we have one in each camp now. All even. At least it didn't cost either team the game, or a Cup. I've seen worse.

I just heard about the best-sounding deep-fried "fair food" item: red velvet funnel cake. **drool**

Happy and not surprised. I said when Suh was drafted that he does not like to lose. He's a catalyst player, and has made the team better, as players of his ilk usually do. The person below me is sometimes surprised when an older celebrity dies... because you thought they were already dead.

I don't think the fans in Dallas are at the baseball game... but I do think the product in Dallas has suffered, with the funding issues they have - and no franchise players anymore. It's also extremely expensive in Dallas for good seats. Minimum of $180.00 per ticket for lower bowl, not on an angle and with good line of sight. Double that for better seats. Uh. Nope. People have cut back on season tickets there, too, according to some I know in Dallas. Making the playoffs for a change might help.

yes, I do, but I don't mind. It's cool and grey and rainy out... I am in heaven. This weather gives me energy - sort of the opposite for most people, I suspect. The person below me likes to shop at Target.

Aunt Jemima... I am old-school, or perhaps just old. decorate or renovate?

Good win...only able to follow on scoreboard but I am happy for the score and the scorers...

Fantastic job on the GDT!! I can't wait, this has been the longest summer of my life. Go, Wings!!!!!
-
Good for them, I wish I could go. I love hockey.

Shiz, for shizzle. Brussels sprouts or cauliflower?
-
yes, I do. The days of golden oak are over. I don't mind a nice birch, but not in my house - too modern for the style of my home. The person below me is single right now.

Ehrhart gets a Babs glare for that one. -
no, sorry... I am not a baseball fan anymore. I used to like it, but only when I could go to actual games in person. The person below me had never had poison ivy.

lily of the valley, I love the way they smell. hard or soft mattress?

9/30 Exhibition GDT: Toronto Maple Leafs at Red Wings

well, we will agree to disagree, HoH. I think they look lazy and disinterested. I am so sorry if they're bored. I work with a cadre of "professionals" who coast along, entertaining themselves, and leave the work to "someone else." Daily. It's a bad habit. I want the Wings to show up EVERY game and act like they work there and that they should win the game. The fact that they don't and aren't interested in regular season games is, frankly, beneath them. I do realize that work ethic is a thing of the past, and I am a throw-back dinosaur for wanting this team to show up 60 minutes per game. Silly me. They are not ready. They show the same lack of chemistry they did last season. The only way to fix that is for the players to decide to play as a team... if they don't, we're in for another season of last minute wins (which they didn't deserve) and losses where the whole team is responsible, but the goalies take the heat. Perhaps this is just too similar to my workplace, eerily so, actually. I have come to expect little from my coworkers, as they sit around and wait for someone else to show up and do the work. I really don't like seeing that same ethos in the Red Wings -- but do acknowledge that it's acceptable in today's world. I hold them accountable as a team. Hope they decide to play and work hard before April. -

The Wings admit they aren't ready to start the season. That's pretty obvious, and not something I really wanted to hear them admit. The only ones who can do anything about that is them. Howard and Conklin are not the problem, IMO. -
Steeempy!! You eeediot!! (not you, Jack -- I was saying that in my Ren voice) banana or octopus?

who still uses AOL? I didn't know it was still in business.

9/28 Exhibition GDT: Red Wings at Chicago Blackhawks

I second your post Dimaline ^^^ I was impressed with the kids. The Hawks put the best they had out there, and the youngsters more than held their own. That's was pre-season is for. I did wish momentarily that I could have seen the first line players since I don't see very many televised games here... but I enjoyed watching the young'uns out there. Conks, welcome back! -

Hooray for VS. I get to see the game! Sad that Cleary and Stu are out, though. Bummer. -
Doorbell. But I sometimes knock if I know the person inside can hear me so I don't scare them. polka dot or plaid?
-
I do not. The blingiest thing I wear (every day) is a pair of diamond stud earrings and my silver octopus charm on a silver chain. Stanley -- that's my octo's name, of course. :octo: The person below me thinks the Wings have the coolest mascot of all.
