Oh. My God... This has to stop. Sorry, did he get any sort of punishment for this? Who can we write to or appeal to, this guy has got to go.

You are such a hard worker, HT! Good on ya for being so devoted. I had a good work out with my trainer after work. We were both in bad moods before starting, and laughing (well, me wiping sweat and laughing) when the hour was up. It's good for the soul and well as the cellulite!! My messed up elbow is much better, I am back to doing a lot of upper body stuff I couldn't a few weeks ago. Yay!

I have had the same experience, Dawn. There are some good folks here and in cyberspace in general. I guess I wasn't referring to anyone in this forum. We more or less know who they are, since they have to register. Besides, I think member and mods do a pretty good job of keeping a lid on truly hateful posts. I know a couple of posters who stepped over the line, but they are of no consequence in my life. Their words are just so much trash to me. It's reading the comments from people who respond to news articles online who scare me. They mask their hatred and disdain for others in "political" viewpoints which frankly are very frightening to me as a human being. I picture them gunning down public servants and opening fire randomly in busy fast food restaurants. People with that much hate in them have to let it out somehow, somewhere. They don't care who they hurt. As Karen said, it seems that people now believe they have the right to say whatever they want, without consequence. I wonder who raised these people, and why they think anyone cares about their venomous spewage. I hope they are a very small minority and that the decent people feel as I do: it would be a waste of time and energy to try and enforce some sense of decorum and courtesy with people like them.

I am not sure on a given day that the internet has done our society any favors. It boggles my mind how crude, crass and insensitive people are when they comment on articles in the news. Of course, no one can see them and they're hiding behind a dumb screen name - so that makes them brave... and reprehensible, usually. The lack of civility in the country blows my mind, most days, from the cable "news" commentators to the tone of TV shows. There is no niceness anymore. This makes me sorrowful.

Yes, indeed! He is smart and funny and cute (like a newt). I have shoes older than Konnan, but I like smart men of any age. The person below me enjoyed the Super Bowl game today.

Christina screwed up the national anthem. Not a surprise, really, she's been doing that for years (you'd think she would know the words by now). Am I the only one who thought the half time show was a total embarrassment and laughably BAD??? So bad. Cringeworthy. What a waste, but next year they will be more careful what they book, I guess. I like the Peas, but they were just ... silly looking. And adding Slash with a bedazzled top hat? Not helping the cause. Ads were good, though. The Pepsi spots were hilarious, and the "back from the dead" Dorito ad made me LOL.

Please score a goal. In fact, please score one more than the Rangers. I don't want much, really.

the Green Bay Packers. Seriously, I don't see them going after any of the players listed.

I've never liked him, personally, he's a diver and a whiner... but he's old school elite and no one can deny he was a great player. I wish him luck, if for no other reason than I would like to see a worthy opponent in Colorado again.

They look bored, too. I don't think they are, don't get me wrong. But you can't let opportunities like the last two games (or any game) go to waste like this. The Wings made Columbus and Nashville look like Cup winners. They didn't have to be very good to beat the Wings, let's face it. Jokes about Vezina winning efforts in opponents' nets aside - neither goalie had to ratchet out of daily practice mode to stop all the Wings' 69 shots on goal the last two games. The Rangers should be afraid of facing a pissed-off Wings team. I bet they're not. They're going to come out and try to rip this team's heads off, and they probably will succeed if no one shows up to play again. Avery will have every right to make fun of his former team. To whom much is given, much is expected. No one is going to give you anything in this life, Wings. You have to work for it. I miss seeing a work ethic out there. Stop expecting 'the other guy' to do all the work. ALL of the Wings need to show up, each of them assuming they are going to be the key factor in winning this game, and every game. They should never step on the ice expecting to lose. It should honestly surprise them when they don't win. Take whatever happened and then attack it... go out there and fix it. Never let it happen again. I dearly miss that work ethic on the ice and in the locker room. We had it once. We don't right now.

Mine is kinda grungy, too. Not dirty, yet. It needs a face-lift though. And some equipment fixed/upgraded.

Kewl newt! And you are cute (she said, in a very non-sexist, but sincere fashion).

I agree with some of this literally, and all of it in spirit. They remind me of Dallas a few years ago, before the Stars' owners brought in Joe Nieuwendyk, fired Coach Tippett (not his fault), dumped Modano, dumped Turco - ok, that was a good idea, Lehtinen retired (he could still play), Zubov retired (ditto). The team acted like they'd never met out there on the ice. Not saying a blow up would help, but changes will need to be made, if we are to regain/retain dominance. Regular season means little, but I can't see this team/these goalies getting very far in the playoffs, without a major shift in attitude. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't think they are trying. It's just that sometimes, the wheel is spinning. No traction, no reaction. They just seem... puzzled.

Wang is a knob. Oh, my. Hideous game, so terrible to see the Wings hit 4,775,838 posts - we should have won this game. Joey was fine. Lack of offense was what killed us.

*mops up diet coke from keyboard*
-
please just don't let Nashville score.
-
No offense. I mean it. NO offense. At all.
-
do they have cheerleaders with the Wings' current goalie's name on it, so the crowd can chant. "[fill in the blank]! You suck!"
-
you meant the Wings, right? j/k
-
Yes, faintly. It was nice.
-
Good save, Joey...
-
thank you for that. It was very helpful.
-
you're being my brain again.

Well, it can be too early, but after Weber's opening goal, we have to do something. On the other hand, the Wings did not listen to me last night. I certainly hope we don't get shut out again tonight... seriously.
-
oh, God. If that didn't go in... I don't know what will. That may have been as close as we'll get to a goal, if they revert to last night's "energy".
