Joey Mac is OK. It was Shea Weber, you know. The guy everyone here is slathering over, wishing he was a Red Wing? As for Smith, there is a reason Dallas let him go. Turco was jealous. Smith is the real deal, from what I saw in Dallas.

true. OK, NOW is when you do the shut out curse. GEE! I sure hope Peckerini is enjoying his SHUT OUT!! SHUT OUT SHUT OUT SHUT OUT!!!
-
Can I just inject a little goalie curse (a la S*** O**) instruction: You don't utter those two words until the other team has scored BEFORE we do. Otherwise, you risk cursing our team to having no goals. It's a finesse thing, you understand? The way they played last night, it probably doesn't matter.

Thank you for the GDT, HT. Joey Mac's turn to be embarrassed tonight? Let's hope they are not proud of the "effort" last night and show up for Joey. My friend who's in Nashville and going to the game said it's nasty, cold, rain and snow mixed... ugh. Maybe it will feel like hockey weather to the Wings and they will play better tonight. I hope! Go, Wings!

I am starting to think they are taking shut out curse/jinx literally, here. I don't mean YOU, Wings.
-
ahem... SHUT OUT! Just sayin'.... Let's go, Wings!
-
Wings will show up and Jimmy will have a better night, Wings win by at least 2 goals. Let's go, Red Wings. And Jimmy, I still believe in you! Hang in there!!

I also get the comparison, although Johan is not the inate talent that Feds was. Fedorov was easily the most gifted under-achiever ever to grace the NHL. I remember thinking that when he was on his game (or chose to play to his potential, if that is what was happening), there was no one better than Fedorov. He was simply beautiful to watch, at least when you were not wanting to kill him for not showing up. Mule isn't pretty, but he's damned effective when it really, really counts. Now, if he could just show that same fire on a regular basis, I guess we'd all just have to shut up.

Got a suggestion for an alternative right now? -

I hesitate to say this, but it could hardly be any worse...just ask Howard. We should have played Nashville tonight - it's 2/2 (2011). -

Hank is the man for setting Mule up instead of taking that shot himself. It's nice to see Mule smile. He doesn't do that often, but he deserves to pat himself on the back. -

Mule has now scored all the goals he was going to score for this season, in one game. -

Even if he wasn't tearing up the KHL, Dom wouldn't come back to Detroit. Maybe as a favor to Mr. I. Otherwise, I doubt it. Wings wish. -

Never happen, but he would be world's better than our current options in goal. -

I don't blame them. They haven't won a game in a month and I don't think current fans remember the last time Ottawa scored this many goals. -

Gee, I wish they had called no goal a few other times when other teams (Ducks) pushed the goalie into the net with the puck -- and it was called a goal. Better late than never? -

Wings got lucky. -
I wonder if all the erstwhile fans who gleefully ran Hasek out of town on a rail ever wish he was still here. I know I do. He's still better today than what we have in net now. I miss the older players with character and personalities. The Wings are great guys, but sort of business-like and bland on the ice. They get it done, and that's great to watch. But, I miss being brought out of my seat by an amazing play once in a while and screaming "Oh, my God, did you SEE that!!???"

sigh... give Kovie all day with a puck and he will do that. Wakey, wakey, Wings!! -
Wow, poor Sabres. The people of Buffalo deserve a great team, and I hope they can move on and build on this. No Lindy Ruff? I hardly know what to say about that. Good luck, Sabres!!

totally, especially when you look back at Yesterday. The person below me is the piano man.

My theme song. Of course, we do. The person below me believes it's all decided for us and this world has only one sweet moment set aside for us.

You could be right. But I am hoping he recognized an opportunity to get back on track and not waste his career and life. Let's hope so!
