Good news... I can't stand Tootoo, but wish him no harm. Glad he got better, and good on the Preds and NHL for standing up for him and with him as he tries to right the ship. Hope he learned something from this and makes the most of a second chance not everyone gets in life. Now, I hope the Wings beat the Preds' butts on 4/2, because I plan to be there.

yes, the people who sold me my house put in new carpet when they put it on the market, and it's still beautiful. They let their stupid dogs pee on it in one place, though -- it took the color out of the carpeting. The person below me would like hardwood floors, but it far too frugal to discard perfectly lovely carpeting.

Threadkiller. Pick a movie someone has seen (or admits they've seen) The person below me can't resist a cry for help.

LOL~ Nope, but funny you should mention that in context with the "All Star" mess. The person below me is depressed by the state of their finances.

Yeah, a couple of guys (clients). The person below me is not watching the All star thing.

Nope, it's 80 degrees here right now, seriously. But don't worry, it's Texas. It's supposed to drop 40 degrees by Monday, and Tuesday the high is supposed to be 35, lows in the teens. Whee!! The person below me pays too much for car insurance.
-
No, but I have been walkin' in Memphis a couple of times. The person below me just realized how late it is.

Don't be, your contributions are very clever. Pronghorn and Gets Laugh are almost interchangeable to me, in terms of ick factor.

Hey, somebody found my Evil Michelle Roy pic! Yay! I was mesmerized by the Olli PS pages (all 20 of them). There's some really funny stuff there. No one beats our playoff PS wars, though. Best anywhere! LGWs!

You couldn't possibly be more correct, sir. Thank you! Blasphemy. I think it's called bias, by the way.

They go to squirrel heaven? Right? I had to face a hard truth a couple of years back when I was wondering where all the darling little yellow baby duckies were disappearing to, over at our neighborhood pond. I would go jogging around the trail by the pond and count all of them in the Spring -- there would be 20, then 30, and then 50 of them, all paddling and peeping and following their mamas... SOOOOO cute!!! Then, there would be fewer and fewer each day... and I would mourn them. Little innocent babies. But Mother Nature is a strict mistress. I was told the turtles and snakes and other critters living around the pond ate most of them all up. I had to quit going to the pond for a while, I couldn't stand it. Some survived, but most didn't -- which is how it's supposed to be, I guess.

Top Gun. Just keep working on the finish, Danger Boy.

So sick of all of you whining about Jimmy or any of the poor men who are stupid enough to play goal in Detroit. Who was letting the Devils whack at the puck 25 times until they stuffed it home? Jimmy? Whatever.

what the hell??? That was not Howard's fault. I give up.

this is me, if I were you: *marking date on calendar to remember last time boyfriend ever borrows my car* My contacts are killing me. Off to bed with me, and the contacts in their leetle case. Oy. night-night!!

Yay! First, it's on Versus - so I can actually see the game on TV, and second: It's FATSO!!! Can't wait, go Wings!! Good guys score 1 million goals, other guys, like, hardly any. Woo!

He had the option to leave the hostile environment. I get a little tired of this constant litigious over-reaction to practically everything. It makes me

@ the mental images I am forming, of the players' faces when they are subjected to this... and the entire charade of a showcase. Sad, sad, sad.

This right here. You are right on, Buppy.

My best friend and her husband worked at Duke University in grad school. It's an awesome area. Still think it's weird to see hockey there, but no stranger than Nashville or Phoenix. Or Florida. I sometimes almost forget they have two (2) teams. Whatever. As for this ridiculous farce they are calling an All Star (shame) weekend: I am so glad no one here cares enough about hockey to turn this thing on, as they might think what they are watching actually represents the game I love. It doesn't even resemble a showcase of actual talent and skill. Badly executed, smarmy and hilarious in sort of an out-of-control giggle fit where you can't breathe anymore fashion. So bad, it's funny? No. It's not even funny. More like sad. I wish Nick didn't feel like he has to go. I don't even plan to waste DVR space on it. What's wrong with Nickelback, by the way? How about Five for Fighting? At least they have the name right.

How does Marty Turco REALLY feel about Pierre McGuire?
puckloo39 replied to tdinc's topic in General
This makes me like Turco-- not that I ever disliked him, really. I enjoy watching the Wings destroy him, regardless of what uniform he has on. -
Yes, it is now required. My trainer at the gym insists that "his" team (Packers or Nebraska, whichever is playing) always win when I am watching with him. I am not a big fan, if it doesn't involve a puck and a stick, I don't really care, you see? The person below me is superstitious about sports and winning.

I would make a great bloodhound, and yes, I sniff all the time for scorched plastic, as in wiring, etc. Fire paranoia. The person below me is pretty sure they're getting an income tax return.
