what a farce. SHortie, Wings!! Come on!!!
-
Maybe... I would like to see Bert find his scoring touch again, too. Please?
-
so far... Mason looks like he's planning on getting a SHUT OUT!! shut out shut out shut out shut out shut out shut out shut out... Booga.

It ain't pretty. The Wings veterans need to step up here. NOW. They've got to learn to work with what they've got or they're in for one loss after another.
-
Deflected off a Wing (abby) and in. NOT Joey's fault. Jeez....
-
all you can say is that the Wings (what's left of them) know better. Joey Mac will give them a chance to win, but they HAVE to show up... BJ's fans will be so proud if they win B2B. As if they are actually playing the Red Wings without half the bench in the ER. woo.

Welcome to Bizarro World, Red Wings style. Goaltender Jimmy Howard: Sore right knee, unknown Forward Pavel Datsyuk: Broken hand, start of February Forward Danny Cleary: Broken ankle, start of February Forward Tomas Holmstrom: Broken hand, end of February Forward Mike Modano: Lacerated wrist, mid-March Goaltender Chris Osgood: Sports hernia, mid-March Defenseman Brad Stuart: Broken jaw, mid-March I have confidence in Joey Mac, always liked the guy, and he will absolutely stand on his head, as best he can. It's the rest of the team I worry about. And Babcock's stare... it's looking a bit brittle lately, so here's hoping he doesn't strain an eyeball. Let's go, remaining Wings!!! Five more games and then you get a moment to lick your assorted wounds. My poor babies...

Well, mostly I think the mods here are fair, but not always. I will refrain from examples but I've been here long enough to have a list of them. Anyway, if my sig and avatar haven't gotten me banned here , I can't imagine what Mindy did or said to jump the shark.

I agree. I used to have a hard time telling if he knew he was being goofy, or if he was serious... and then caught on that it was silly, so he would add the content to his schtick. I guess I never really got what made people so mad at him. There are other posters who are much more obnoxious in my opinion, but they weren't banned permanently. Perhaps he did something we don't know about? Dunno.

sucks, don't it. Boooo... better luck tomorrow, since we are now down to 1 goalie. Yay.

that woulda been cool if it has worked, Bert.

Nash is a moron. Sorry...

thanks HT! This thread was meant for people who wanted to share their stories so we could be inspired, or to tell others what was going on with their fitness programs, for support or to keep accountable on goals. Research has shown that people who share their intentions and goals for fitness with others are more likely to follow through. My trainer hit me with an interesting idea yesterday. I have had trouble losing my last 10-15 lbs., fat, lazy American that I am. I work out 6 days a week, sometimes 7, with weights three days a week (with trainer) and heavy duty cardio/intervals on the "off" days. It's very frustrating to go every day, work my ass off (I wish, literally) and see NO progress on the scale, downwards. I don't know how to do anything half-way. I throw myself into each and every workout, never cheat on reps, usually add more if I am by myself. I am much more strict on myself than my trainer is on me when he's working with me. I am not happy if I don't leave my workout looking like someone tossed a bucket of water over me. I am very strong, but dainty, I ain't. Trainer tells me that he thinks I work too hard, and in my case, I am probably burning muscle rather than fat - which leaves me with... fat. I wouldn't have thought of that, but he's the professional. So my new marching orders are to scale back on my cardio days to about half what I have been doing. Apparently - in my case - working as hard as I can isn't effective, and may in fact be counter-productive. I will feel totally lazy going in to do 30 minutes on the treadmill (rather than an hour) at half my normal intensity. Ditto on the stairmill. 10 minutes of intervals, instead of 20. Adding more abs and stretching instead of so much time on cardio. Does this sound strange to you all, or does it make sense? I am afraid I have become obsessed with time on task and working so hard, expecting results, and in fact, I might be sabotaging myself.

Have fun, tell Jack hi for me. I won't be here until late; working on a Friday night = I expect a Wings win when I get home. Wings 4 BJs 1

Go, Edi!!! That's great! Holidays leave most of us with a bit of extra we wish we didn't have, but no sense beating yourself up about it. You've done the right thing, getting back on track. Gotta love people who say," well, I lost weight during the holidays." Goody for you. I'm thinking you didn't have any fun, either.

Do they actually pay him for this sort of nonsensical spewage?

Someone around here has to do it. Most of the other Dom supporters quit posting here, due to all the bashing. I am harder to get rid of than most. Someone stole my rain bells, like these from my front-yard flower bed today. How nice.
-
too many choices and I didn't actually watch it, anyway. tracphone or contract cell phone?
-
nope, just allergies. The person below me wonders what Datsyuk is doing while out injured.
-
ah, that's good to hear. He's been a brave little toaster, leaving his family in Cali, while he's playing in Detroit.
-
gmail or hotmail = disposable email accounts. It's good to have one strictly for resume, job search, actually.

I hope Stu is doing well and feeling some better. No news locally, I guess, on how he's getting along? I hope Kostopoulos is getting splinters in his butt from riding the pine. Unfortunately, he's probably somewhere warm on vacation waiting out his tragic 6 game suspension.
-
It helps that he's been a Red Wing his entire career. Dom never missed them either, except for the lock out and in Ottawa when he was injured and couldn't play. The Buffalo Sabres, with Dom in goal, never missed the playoffs. After he left for Detroit, they missed the playoffs for three straight years. Wonder who carried that team?

Red Wings asked NHL not to pick Zetterberg for all star game
puckloo39 replied to Kingston's topic in General
Nice to know the league honors something about the Red Wings. I think it's mainly OK for Z not to be there, so Crosby won't have any competition for the limelight, but that's just me. I am glad he's not going, nor Datsyuk. I wish Nick wasn't, either.
